Sinn für Innovationen Das Stuttgarter Unternehmen S1nn entwickelt seit zehn Jahren wegweisende Infotainment-, Audio- und Connectivity-Lösungen für die Automobilbranche. Mit Spürsinn und Scharfsinn die automobile Zukunft mitgestalten das ist seit der Gründung 2004 die Mission der S1nn GmbH & Co. KG. Das Stuttgarter Unternehmen entwickelt Hightech-Produkte in den Bereichen Connectivity und Audio für namhafte Automobilhersteller. Bei der Vernetzung automobiler Infotainmentsysteme ist S1nn weltweit einer der Technologieführer. Dabei bleibt S1nn seinen schwäbischen Wurzeln treu und zeichnet sich durch seine mittelständischen Stärken aus: eine schlanke Struktur, flexibles Denken und Handeln sowie eine partnerschaftliche Zusammenarbeit mit den Kunden. Die Geschäftsführer Philipp Popov und Andreas Heim erwirtschafteten gemeinsam mit rund 100 Mitarbeitern in Stuttgart sowie den Niederlassungen in Ettlingen bei Karlsruhe und San Diego in den USA 2013 einen Umsatz von 93,3 Mio. Euro. Seit Februar 2015 ist S1nn eine hundertprozentige Tochter der Harman International Industries Inc. Das macht S1nn Die Produkte von S1nn machen das Autofahren sicherer, interaktiver und getreu dem Unternehmensnamen sinnlicher und erlebnisreicher. Das Fahrzeug wird mit den Systemlösungen des Stuttgarter Hightech-Unternehmens zu einer Welt des Entertainments und der Kommunikation: Musik hören, twittern, posten, sharen, liken, telefonieren und navigieren. So führt S1nn seine Kunden aus der Automobilbranche in die Zukunft der vernetzten automobilen Infotainmentsysteme und deren Anbindung an die Cloud. Im Bereich Connectivity bietet S1nn maßgeschneiderte Lösungen, mit denen Autofahrer ihre Unterhaltungselektronik einfach mit ihrem Fahrzeug verbinden und bedienen können. Ein weiteres Kompetenzfeld von S1nn sind High-End-Audiosysteme: Diese bieten ein einzigartiges Klangerlebnis im Auto und erfüllen als Systemlösungen alle Anforderungen der Branchenkunden. Vergangenheit und Zukunft mit S1nn Angefangen hat alles 2004: Philipp Popov, Heiko Henkelmann, Michael Fabry und Dr. Alfred Schefenacker gründen die S1nn GmbH & Co. KG mit Sitz in Wernau, nahe Stuttgart. In einem kleinen Büro arbeitet das Team an den ersten Audio-Konzepten für
die Fahrzeugindustrie. Ein Jahr später zieht die mittlerweile gewachsene Mannschaft in ein größeres Büro nach Esslingen. 2006 beginnt Andreas Heim bei der S1nn GmbH und wird neben Philipp Popov Geschäftsführer. Im gleichen Jahr erweitert S1nn sein Geschäftsfeld und startet mit der Entwicklung von Connectivity-Produkten, zunächst für den Volkswagen-Konzern. Als Vorreiter entwickelt S1nn Lösungen zur Anbindung von Consumer-Electronics-Produkten wie Smartphones, ipods oder MP3-Playern an das Automobil Technologien, die heute fast schon selbstverständlich sind. In den kommenden Jahren rollen die ersten Automodelle mit Audio- und Connectivity- Lösungen von S1nn an Bord vom Band. Seit 2010 entwickelt der Stuttgarter Hightech- Spezialist zudem Infotainment-Produkte für die Automobilbranche. Das Unternehmen wächst immer stärker und zieht 2011 nach Stuttgart-Vaihingen, wo S1nn bis heute seinen Stammsitz hat. Mit neuen Entwicklungsbüros in Ettlingen bei Karlsruhe und San Diego in den USA wird S1nn der wachsenden Nachfrage gerecht das Unternehmen liefert 2013 das 10-millionste Steuergerät an die Automobilindustrie. Besonders die Flexibilität und das Engagement wissen die Kunden zu schätzen: Für den großen Einsatz bei der Entwicklung des Soundsystems im Tesla Model S würdigt der US- Autohersteller S1nn 2012 mit der Auszeichnung Excellent Development Partner. Heute arbeiten weltweit mehr als 100 hoch qualifizierte Mitarbeiter für die Ideenschmiede. Das neueste Erfolgsprojekt: Porsche setzt in seinem neuen Supersportwagen 918 Spyder auf ein Infotainmentsystem von S1nn. In the years that followed, the first vehicles with S1nn audio and connectivity solutions rolled off the production line. Since 2010, the Stuttgart-based high-tech specialist has also developed infotainment products for the automobile industry. The company has continued to grow ever more, and in 2011, it moved to Stuttgart-Vaihingen, where it is still based today. S1nn has met increasing demand by opening new development offices in Ettlingen near Karlsruhe and San Diego, USA. In 2013, it delivered its ten-millionth control unit to the automobile industry.
