2 Importat Notices about the CD-ROM Data Types This CD-ROM icludes the applicatio software. Please refer to pages 4 (Widows) or 8 (Macitosh) for software istallatio istructios. Never attempt to play back the CD-ROM o a audio CD player. Doig so may result i damage to your hearig as well as to your CD player/audio speakers. Media format The MOTIF ES6/MOTIF ES7/MOTIF ES8 is compatible with the followig media formats. MS-DOS CD-ROM with ISO9660 Eglish The MOTIF ES caot directly read the cotets of the CD-ROM. The CD-ROM is iteded for use oly with a computer. If a read-oly file is copied to the SmartMedia card i the MOTIF ES s card slot or the USB storage device coected to the MOTIF ES, the file caot be deleted from the MOTIF ES. Operatig System (OS) The applicatios i this CD-ROM are provided i versios for both Widows ad Macitosh operatig systems. The istallatio procedure ad the applicatios themselves differ depedig o the operatig system that you are usig. Please refer to the appropriate istallatio istructios. For Widows, see page 4. For Macitosh, see page 7. CD-ROM Istallatio Procedure Before breakig the seal of the software packagig, please read carefully the Software Licesig Agreemet at the ed of this guide. 1 Verify that your system meets the operatig requiremets of the software (Voice Editor, Plug-i Board Editors, driver, etc.)....widows: page 4; Macitosh: page 7 2 Istall the appropriate driver to your computer, ad make the ecessary settigs....widows: page 4; Macitosh: page 8 3 Istall the software (Voice Editor, etc.)....widows: page 5; Macitosh: page 9 4 Start up the software. 3 About Ope Plug-i Techology You ca start the Voice Editor for MOTIF ES6/7/8 or the Multi Part Editor for MOTIF ES6/7/8 software as either a stad-aloe software or a plug-i applicatio i a Ope Plug-i Techology compatible applicatio. Ope Plug-i Techology (OPT) is a ewly developed software format that allows cotrol over MIDI devices from a music software sequecer. For example, this allows you to start up ad operate various parts of your music system, such as Plug-i Board editors, ad mixig cotrol editors directly from a OPT-compatible sequecer, without havig to use each separately. This also makes it uecessary to set MIDI drivers for each applicatio, streamliig your music productio system ad makig all operatios more coveiet ad seamless. About the OPT Levels The cliet applicatio ad its compatibility with OPT ca be divided ito three levels, as show below. Level 1 OPT Paels provides basic support for opeig ad displayig OPT cotrol paels that ca trasmit data via the cliets exteral MIDI ports. Typically this allows basic hardware editor cotrol paels to operate properly. Level 2 OPT Processors provides support for real-time MIDI processors ad pael automatio. Typically this allows both real-time ad offlie MIDI effects (e.g. Arpeggiators, trasposers etc.) to operate properly ad supply automatio to OPT paels. Eglish Level 3 OPT Views provides support for edit views ad MIDI processors/paels that require direct access to cliet sequecer storage structures. Typically this allows sophisticated MIDI edit views to be supported (e.g. List editors, Auto Accompaimet, Data Checkers etc.). Software Istallatio Uistall (Removig the istalled applictaio) To remove the istalled applictaio software: Select [START] [Settigs] [Cotrol Pael] [Add/Remove Programs] [Istall/Uistall], the select the applicatio to be removed ad click [Add/Remove...]. Follow the o-scree istructios to uistall the applicatio. The butto ames or meus may differ depedig o the computer OS. Acrobat Reader I order to view the electroic (PDF) mauals icluded with each applicatio, you ll eed to istall Acrobat Reader. If a older versio of Acrobat Reader is istalled o your PC, you ll eed to uistall it before proceedig. 1 Double-click o the Acroread_ folder. Four differet laguage folders will be displayed. 2 Select the laguage you wat to use ad double-click o its folder. The file ar***.exe file will be displayed. ( *** idicates the selected laguage.) 3 Double-click o ar***.exe. Acrobat Reader Setup Dialog box will be displayed. 4 Execute the istallatio by followig the o-scree directios. After istallatio is complete, the Acrobat folder appears o your PC (i Program Files, as the default). For iformatio o usig the Acrobat Reader, refer to the Reader Guide i the Help meu. USB MIDI Driver To operate the MOTIF ES from your computer via USB, you ll eed to istall the appropriate driver software. The USB-MIDI driver is software that trasfers MIDI data back ad forth betwee sequece software ad the MOTIF ES via a USB cable. For Widows 98/Me: See below. For Widows 2000: See page 5. For Widows XP: See page 5. Istallig the driver o Widows 98/Me 1 Start the computer. 2 Isert the icluded CD-ROM ito the CD-ROM drive. 3 First, make sure the POWER switch o the MOTIF ES is set to OFF, the use a USB cable to coect the USB termial of the computer (or the USB hub) to the USB TO HOST coector of the MOTIF ES. Whe the MOTIF ES is tured o, the computer automatically displays the Add New Hardware Wizard. If the Add New Hardware Wizard does ot appear, click Add New Hardware i the Cotrol Pael. For Widows Me users, check the radio butto to the left of Automatic search for a better driver (Recommeded) ad click [Next]. The system automatically starts searchig ad istallig the driver. Proceed to Step 8. If the system does ot detect the driver, select Specify the locatio of the driver (Advaced) ad specify the CD-ROM drive s USBdrv_ folder to istall the driver. 4 Click [Next]. The widow eables you to select the search method. 5 Check the radio butto to the left of Search for the best driver for your device. (Recommeded). Click [Next]. The widow eables you to select a locatio i which to istall the driver. 6 Whe usig Widows 98, check the Specify a locatio box, click Browse.., the specify the USBdrv directory of the CD-ROM drive (such as D:\USBdrv_\) ad cotiue the istallatio. Whe usig Widows Me, check the CD-ROM drive box ad ucheck all other items. Click [Next]. Whe usig Widows Me, the system may ask you to isert a Widows CD-ROM while it checks for the driver. Specify the USBdrv directory of the CD-ROM drive (such as D:\USBdrv_\) ad cotiue the istallatio. 7 Whe the system detects the driver o the CD-ROM ad is ready for istallatio, it is show as a message o the scree. Make sure that the YAMAHA USB MIDI Driver is listed, ad click [Next]. The system starts the istallatio. 8 Whe istallatio is complete, a message idicatig so appears. Click [Fiish]. Computer Sequece Software Driver USB cable Some computers may take about te secods to show this scree after the istallatio is complete. The driver has bee istalled. 5 Istallig the driver o Widows Start the computer ad use the Admiistrator accout to log ito Widows Select [My Computer Cotrol Pael System Hardware Driver Sigig File Sigature Verificatio], ad check the radio butto to the left of Igore -Istall all files, regardless of file sigature ad click [OK]. 3 Isert the icluded CD-ROM ito the CD-ROM drive. 4 First, make sure the POWER switch o the MOTIF ES is set to OFF, the use a USB cable to coect the USB coector of the computer (or the USB hub) to the USB TO HOST coector of the MOTIF ES. Whe the MOTIF ES is tured o, the computer automatically displays the Foud New Hardware Wizard. Click [Next]. 5 Check the radio butto to the left of Search for a suitable driver for my device. (Recommeded). Click [Next]. The widow that appears eables you to select a locatio i which to istall the driver. 6 Check the CD-ROM drives box ad ucheck all other items. Click [Next]. SQ01 V2 I the procedure of istallig the SQ01 V2, you ca also istall the Voice Editor for MOTIF ES 6/7/8, Multi Part Editor for MOTIF ES 6/7/8, ad Wave Editor TWE together as plug-i software of the SQ01 V2. 1 Double-click o the SQ01_ folder. Various files icludig setup.exe will be displayed. 2 Double-click o Setup.exe. SQ01 Setup Dialog box will be displayed. 3 Execute the istallatio by followig the directios appearig o the scree. After the istallatio, select Restart. After restartig Widows, you will fid the YAMAHA folder o your PC (Program Files as the default) ad SQ01 folder i the YAMAHA folder. Refer to the olie mauals for istructios o how to use the applicatio. SQ01 V2 MIDI Setup 1 Start the SQ01 V2. Choose [Programs] from the [Start] meu, the select [YAMAHA SQ01 Ver.2.0] [SQ01]. Eglish The system may ask you to isert a Widows CD-ROM while it checks for the driver. Specify the USBdrv2k_ directory of the CD-ROM drive (such as D:\USBdrv2k_\) ad cotiue the istallatio. 2 From the [Setup] meu (Track View widow), select [MIDI] [Device], to call up the Device page of the MIDI dialog. 7 Whe the istallatio is complete, the system displays Completig the Foud New Hardware Wizard. Click [Fiish]. Some computers may take about te secods to show this scree after the istallatio is complete. 8 Restart the computer. The driver has bee istalled. Istallig the driver o Widows XP 1 Start the computer. 2 Select [Start] [Cotrol Pael]. If the cotrol pael appears as Pick a category, click Switch to Classic View i the upper left of the widow. All cotrol paels ad icos will be displayed. 3 Go to [System] [Hardware] [Driver Sigig] [File Sigature Verificatio], ad check the radio butto to the left of Igore -Istall all files, regardless of file sigature ad click [OK]. 4 Click the [OK] butto to close System Properties, ad the click X i the upper right of the widow to close the Cotrol Pael. 5 Isert the icluded CD-ROM ito the CD-ROM drive. 6 First, make sure the POWER switch o the MOTIF ES is set to OFF, the use a USB cable to coect the USB coector of the computer (or the USB hub) to the USB TO HOST coector of the MOTIF ES. Whe the MOTIF ES is tured o, the computer automatically displays the Foud New Hardware Wizard. Some computers may take a few miutes to show this scree. 7 Check the radio butto to the left of Istall the software automatically (Recommeded). Click [Next]. The system starts the istallatio. 8 Whe the istallatio is complete, the system displays Completig the Foud New Hardware Wizard. Click [Fiish]. Some computers may take about a few miutes to show this scree after the istallatio is complete. 9 Restart the computer. The driver has bee istalled. 3 Select the appropriate output port (for example, YAMAHA USB OUT 0-1 ) i the [OUT] box, to use the USB coectio with the MOTIF ES. 4 Select the appropriate iput port (for example, YAMAHA USB IN 0-1 ) i the [IN] box, the click [OK] to close the dialog box. You ca select the audio driver ad the audio i/out device if ecessary. From the [Setup] meu, select [Audio] [Device] to call up the Device page of the Audio dialog. The USB coectio to the MOTIF ES ca oly be used for trasfer of MIDI data. No audio data ca be trasferred via USB. Voice Editor ad Multi Part Editor Oce you ve istalled these software programs, you ca use your computer to edit the Voices ad Mixig settigs of the MOTIF ES. 1 Double-click o the Tools folder i the CD-ROM. The VEMOTES_ ad MEMOTES_ folders will be displayed. 2 Double-click o the VEMOTES_ folder or MEMOTES_ folder. setup.exe file will be displayed. 3 Double-click o the setup.exe file. The Voice Editor or the Multi Part Editor Tools setup dialog will be displayed. 4 Execute the istallatio by followig the o-scree directios. For details, refer to the each o-lie Help or the each PDF ower s maual. TWE (usig as a stad-aloe software) I the procedure of istallig the SQ01 V2, you ca also istall the TWE, which eables you to edit the wave data directly o your computer, as plug-i software of the SQ01 V2. If you wish to istall the TWE aloe, follow the istructios below. 1 Double-click o the Twe_ folder. 2 Select the laguage that you wat to use ad double-click setup.exe. 3 Execute the istallatio by followig the o-scree istructios. 6 MIDI port settig (whe startig the software as a stadaloe applicatio) Before settig the MIDI port o the Voice Editor or Multi Port Editor, you should set the MIDI port from the MIDI SETUP toolbar. Whe you start the Voice Editor or Multi Part Editor as a plug-i applicatio i a Ope Plug-i Techology compatible applicatio, refer to the PDF maual of the respective software. 1 Start the Voice Editor or Multi Part Editor. 2 Click the MIDI Setup butto i the Toolbar called up via step #1. Eglish MIDI Setup butto 3 I the MIDI Setup widow called up via step #2, click the [ ] butto at the right ed of each box ad make the port settigs as show. I order for MIDI ports to be available here, you ll eed to select the relevat MIDI port withi each applicatio software (Voice Editor or Multi Port Editor). 8 Software Istallatio Acrobat Reader I order to view the electroic (PDF) mauals icluded with each applicatio, you ll eed to istall Acrobat Reader. 1 Start the computer. 2 Isert the icluded CD-ROM ito the CD-ROM drive. The system displays the CD-ROM ico o the desktop. 3 Double-click the CD-ROM ico ad double-click the Istall USB Driver ico i the USBdrv_ folder to display the followig istallatio scree. Eglish 1 Double-click o the Acroread_ folder. Three differet laguage folders will be displayed: Eglish, Germa ad Frech. 2 Select the laguage you wat to use ad double-click o its folder. Reader Istaller will be displayed. The Istaller ame may differ depedig o the laguage you select. 3 Double-click o the Reader Istaller. Acrobat Reader Setup Dialog will be displayed. 4 Execute the istallatio by followig the directios appearig o the scree. After istallatio is complete, the Acrobat folder appears o your computer (i Hard Disk, as the default). For iformatio o usig the Acrobat Reader, refer to the Reader Guide i the Help meu. Ope Music System (OMS) OMS allows you to use several MIDI applicatios o the Mac OS at the same time. 1 Double-click o the OMS folder (Eglish versio oly). Istall OMS will be displayed. 2 Double-click o Istall OMS OMS Setup Dialog will be displayed. 3 Execute the istallatio by followig the o-scree directios. After the istallatio, select Restart. After the istallatio is complete, you may ecouter a error message warig that the istaller did ot close. I this case, go to the File meu ad select Quit to close the istaller. The reboot the computer. After restartig the Macitosh, you will fid the Opcode / OMS Applicatios folder o your computer (Hard Disk, as the default). 4 Copy the OMS_2.3_Mac.pdf i the CD-ROM to the OMS Applicatios folder (drag-ad-drop it to the folder). Refer to the OMS_2.3_Mac.pdf (Eglish versio oly) for iformatio o how to use the applicatio. 5 Copy the OMS Setup for YAMAHA i the CD-ROM to the OMS Applicatios folder (drag-ad-drop it to the folder). I the OMS Setup for YAMAHA folder you will fid the OMS Setup files for the Yamaha toe geerators, which ca be used as templates. USB MIDI Driver To operate the MOTIF ES from your computer via USB, you ll eed to istall the appropriate driver software. The USB-MIDI driver is software that trasfers MIDI data back ad forth betwee sequece software ad the MOTIF ES via a USB cable. 4 The Istall Locatio box displays the destiatio of the istallatio. If you wish to chage the destiatio disk or folder, use the [Switch Disk] butto ad the pop-up meu to specify the desired destiatio. This box usually displays the start-up disk as the destiatio. 5 Click the [Istall] butto. The system displays a message promptig you to restart the computer. Click [Cotiue] to close all other applicatios ad restart. To cacel the istallatio, click [Cacel]. 6 The istallatio starts. If the driver has already bee istalled, you will receive the followig message. To retur to step 3, press [Cotiue]. To complete the istallatio, click [Quit]. 7 Whe the istallatio is complete, the system displays a message promptig you to restart the computer. Click [Restart]. The computer automatically restarts. 9 Voice Editor Oce you ve istalled these software programs, you ca use your computer to edit the Voices of the MOTIF ES. 6 After startig the OMS Setup, the Studio setup file double-clicked i step #5 opes. Idicates this setup is available 1 Double-click o the Iteratioal folder i the CD-ROM. VEMOTES_ folder will be displayed. 2 Double-click o the VEMOTES_ folder. Istall VoiceEditorFor MOTIF ES file will be displayed. 3 Double-click o the Istall VoiceEditorFor MOTIF ES file. The Voice Editor istallatio dialog will be displayed. Execute the istallatio by followig the o-scree directios. 4 After istallig, restart the computer. For details, refer to the o-lie Help or the PDF ower s maual. TWE With the TWE audio editig software, you ca edit wave data directly o your computer. 1 Double-click o the TWE folder. Four differet laguage folders will be displayed. 2 Select the laguage that you wat to use ad double-click o its folder. The YAMAHA TWE folder will be displayed. 3 Copy the YAMAHA TWE folder to the hard disk of your computer. For details o how to use TWE, refer to the o-lie maual provided i the folder. Settig up OMS The OMS studio setup file for the MOTIF ES is cotaied i the icluded CD- ROM. This studio setup file is used for settig up OMS. Before performig the followig procedure, the OMS ad USB MIDI Driver should be istalled. 1 Use a USB cable to coect the USB termial of the computer (or the USB hub) to the USB termial of the MOTIF ES ad tur the MOTIF ES s power o. 2 Start the computer. 3 Isert the icluded CD-ROM ito the CD-ROM drive of your Macitosh computer. The CD-ROM ico appears o the desktop. 4 Double-click o the CD-ROM ico, Iteratioal, OMS, ad OMS Setup for YAMAHA. The two files MOTIF ES-USB ad MOTIF ES-USB_multi appear. Copy these to the hard disk o your computer. 5 Double-click o the MOTIF ES-USB or MOTIF ES-USB_multi file to start the OMS Setup. Each studio setup file is as follows. MOTIF ES-USB This is used whe coectig a sigle MOTIF ES to the computer ad usig oe port (up to 16 MIDI chaels). MOTIF ES-USB_multi This is used whe coectig several MOTIF ES s to the computer ad usig up to eight ports (up to 128 MIDI chaels). Note that oe MOTIF ES ca hadle up to three ports (up to 48 MIDI chaels). If is ot idicated at the right of the setup file ame, select Make Curret from the File meu ad execute the save operatio. The OMS studio setup has bee completed. Whe opeig MOTIF ES-USB_multi : After the OMS studio setup above has bee completed, your computer will recogize oly the MOTIF as a MIDI istrumet. If you use aother MIDI istrumet i additio to the MOTIF or you add a secod MOTIF to the existig system, you should create a origial Studio Setup file. For details, refer to the olie maual supplied with the OMS. The icluded OMS studio setup file may ot fuctio eve if you follow the above procedure, depedig o your Macitosh/Mac OS versio. (MIDI data caot be trasmitted/received eve if the setup becomes available.) I this situatio, coect your Macitosh to the MOTIF via the USB cable ad follow the procedure below to re-create the setup file. 1 Start OMS Setup ad select New Setup from the File meu. 2 The OMS Driver Search dialog appears. Remove the check from the Modem ad Priter check boxes, ad click [Search] to execute the device search. If the Search operatio has bee completed successfuly, the [USB-MIDI] device is displayed i the OMS driver settig dialog. 3 Click the [OK] butto to search for ports. Port 1, Port 2... appears i the dialog. Mark the appropriate checkbox of the port ad click the [OK] butto to store the settig. For details about how to use OMS, refer to the relevat OMS documetatio. 11 Troubleshootig The driver caot be istalled. Is the USB cable coected correctly? Check the USB cable coectio. Discoect the USB cable, the coect it agai. Widows Is the USB fuctio eabled o your computer? Whe you coect the MOTIF to the computer for the first time, if the Add New Hardware Wizard does ot appear, the USB fuctio o the computer may be disabled. Perform the followig steps. 1 Select [Cotrol Pael] [System] [Device Maager] (for Widows 98/Me), or select [Cotrol Pael]* [System] [Hardware] [Device Maager] (for Widows 2000/XP). * Classic View oly i Widows XP. 2 Make sure that o! or x marks appear at Uiversal serial bus cotroller or USB Root Hub. If you see a! or x mark, the USB cotroller is disabled. Is ay ukow device registered? If driver istallatio fails, the MOTIF will be marked as a Ukow device, ad you will ot be able to istall the driver. Delete the Ukow device by followig the steps below. 1 Select [Cotrol Pael] [System] [Device Maager] (for Widows 98/Me), or select [Cotrol Pael]* [System] [Hardware] [Device Maager] (for Widows 2000/XP). * Classic View oly i Widows XP. 2 Look for Other devices i the meu View devices by type. 3 If you fid Other devices, double-click it to exted the tree to look for Ukow device. If oe appears, select it ad click the [Remove] butto. 4 Remove the USB cable from the MOTIF ES, ad make the coectio agai. 5 Istall the driver agai. Widows 98/Me users... see page 4 Widows 2000 users... see page 5 Widows XP users... see page 5 Caot susped or resume the computer correctly. Do ot susped the computer while the MIDI applicatio is ruig. If you are usig Widows 2000, you may ot be able to susped/resume ormally, depedig o the particular eviromet (USB Host Cotroller, etc.). Widows Me/98 1 Whe the MOTIF ES is recogized correctly, double-click System i the Cotrol Pael to ope the System widow. 2 Double-click the Device Maager tab, select YAMAHA USB MIDI Driver ad delete it. 3 Use the MS-DOS prompt or Explorer to delete the followig three files. Der USB MIDI Driver ist eie Software, die MIDI-Date über ei USB-Kabel zwische eier Sequecer-Software ud dem MOTIF ES überträgt. 4 Das Feld Istall Locatio zeigt de Zielorder der Istallatio a. We Sie Ziellaufwerk oder de Zielorder äder möchte, klicke Sie auf die Schaltfläche [Switch Disk] (Laufwerk wechsel), ud gebe Sie im Pop-Up- Meü das gewüschte Ziel a. Normalerweise wird i diesem Feld das Startvolume als Zielverzeichis agezeigt. 5 Klicke Sie auf die Schaltfläche [Istall]. Das System zeigt eie Meldug a, die Sie auffordert, de Computer eu zu starte. Klicke Sie auf [Cotiue] (Fortfahre), um alle adere Aweduge zu schließe ud de Computer eu zu starte. Um die Istallatio abzubreche, klicke Sie auf [Cacel] (Abbreche). 6 Die Istallatio begit. Falls der Treiber scho istalliert ist, wird die folgede Meldug agezeigt. Klicke Sie auf [Cotiue], um zu Schritt 3 zurückzukehre. Um die Istallatio zu beede, klicke Sie auf [Quit]. 7 We die Istallatio abgeschlosse ist, zeigt das System eie Meldug auf, die Sie auffordert, de Computer eu zu starte. Klicke Sie auf [Restart] (Neu starte). Der Computer wird eu gestartet. 19 Voice Editor Sobald Sie diese Softwareprogramme istalliert habe, köe Sie die Voices ud Mixig-Eistelluge des MOTIF ES a Ihrem Computer bearbeite. 1 Doppelklicke Sie auf das Verzeichis Iteratioal der CD-ROM. Der Order VEMOTES_ wird agezeigt. 6 Nachdem das OMS-Setup gestartet wurde, wird die i Schritt 5 doppelt ageklickte Studio-Setup-Datei geöffet. Zeigt a, daß diese Istallatio zur Verfügug steht 2 Doppelklicke Sie auf das Verzeichis VEMOTES_. Istall VoiceEditorFor MOTIF ES (Voice Editor für MOTIF ES istalliere) wird agezeigt. 3 Doppelklicke Sie auf die Datei Istall VoiceEditorFor MOTIF ES. Das Dialogfester zur Istallatio des Voice Editors wird agezeigt. Führe Sie die Istallatio aus, idem Sie de Aweisuge auf dem Bildschirm folge. 4 Starte Sie de Computer ach der Istallatio eu. Weitere Iformatioe fide Sie i der Olie-Hilfe oder i der Bedieugsaleitug im PDF-Format. TWE Mit der Audiobearbeitugs-Software TWE köe Sie Wave-Date direkt am Computer bearbeite. 1 Doppelklicke Sie auf das Verzeichis TWE. Daraufhi werde Order für vier verschiedee Sprache agezeigt. 2 Wähle Sie die Sprache aus, die Sie utze möchte, idem Sie auf das etsprechede Verzeichis doppelklicke. Das Verzeichis YAMAHA TWE wird agezeigt. 3 Kopiere Sie das Verzeichis YAMAHA TWE auf die Festplatte Ihres Computers. Iformatioe über die Verwedug des TWE fide Sie im Olie- Hadbuch, das sich im TWE-Verzeichis befidet. OMS eirichte Die OMS-Studio-Setup-Datei für de MOTIF ES ist auf der mitgelieferte CD-ROM ethalte. Diese Studio-Setup-Datei wird beötigt, um OMS eizurichte. Bevor Sie die folgede Prozedur durchführe, sollte OMS ud der USB MIDI Driver istalliert sei. 1 Verwede Sie das USB-Kabel, um die USB-Schittstelle des Computers (oder des USB-Hubs) mit der USB-Schittstelle des MOTIF ES zu verbide, ud schalte Sie de MOTIF ES ei. 2 Starte Sie de Computer. 3 Lege Sie die mitgelieferte CD-ROM i das CD-ROM-Laufwerk Ihres Macitosh ei. Auf dem Desktop wird das CD-ROM-Symbol agezeigt. 4 Doppelklicke Sie acheiader auf das CD-ROM-Symbol, Iteratioal, OMS ud OMS Setup for YAMAHA. Die beide Dateie MOTIF ES- USB ud MOTIF ES-USB_multi werde agezeigt. Kopiere Sie diese Datei auf die Festplatte des Computers. 5 Doppelklicke Sie auf die Datei MOTIF ES-USB bzw. MOTIF ES- USB_multi, um das OMS-Setup zu starte. Alle Studio-Setup-Dateie fuktioiere wie folgt. MOTIF ES-USB Diese Datei sollte Sie verwede, we Sie eie eizele MOTIF ES a de Computer aschließe ud eie Port (bis zu 16 MIDI-Kaäle) utze möchte. MOTIF ES-USB_multi Diese Datei sollte Sie verwede, we Sie mehrere MOTIF ES a de Computer aschließe ud bis zu acht Ports (bis zu 128 MIDI-Kaäle) utze möchte. Beachte Sie, daß ei MOTIF ES bis zu drei Ports verarbeite ka (bis zu 48 MIDI-Kaäle). We Sie mehrere MOTIF ES a de Computer aschließe möchte, müsse Sie eie USB-Hub verwede. We Sie die Remote-Cotrol-Fuktio des MOTIF über das USB-Kabel verwede, achte Sie bitte darauf, die Optio [MOTIF ES-USB_multi] auszuwähle, da i diesem Fall Port 3 verwedet wird. We MOTIF ES-USB_multi geöffet wird: Falls rechts ebe dem Name der Istallatiosdatei icht agezeigt wird, wähle Sie im Meü [File] (Datei) die Optio [Make Curret] (zur aktuelle Istallatio mache), ud führe Sie de Speichervorgag aus. Das OMS-Studio-Setup ist abgeschlosse. Nachdem Sie mit de obige Aweisuge das OMS Studio eigerichtet habe, erket Ihr Computer ur de MOTIF als MIDI-Istrumet. We Sie zusätzlich zum MOTIF ei aderes MIDI-Istrumet oder eie weitere MOTIF i das System eifüge möchte, sollte Sie eie eigee Studio Setup-Datei eirichte. Iformatioe dazu fide Sie im Olie-Hadbuch zu OMS. Je ach Macitosh/Mac OS-Versio fuktioiert die mitgelieferte OMS-Studio- Setup-Datei u.u. icht, obwohl Sie die obe beschriebee Verfahresweise befolgt habe. (Obwohl das Setup ordugsgemäß beedet wird, köe keie MIDI- Date gesedet/empfage werde.) Stelle Sie i diesem Fall die Verbidug zwische Macitosh ud MOTIF über das USB-Kabel her, ud erstelle Sie die Setup-Datei folgedermaße eu. 1 Starte Sie das OMS-Setup, ud wähle Sie im Meü [File] (Datei) die Meüoptio [New Setup] (Neues Setup) aus. 2 Daraufhi wird das Dialogfester OMS Driver Search (Suche ach OMS- Treiber) agezeigt. Deaktiviere Sie die Kotrollkästche Modem ud Priter (Drucker), ud klicke Sie auf [Search] (Suche), um ach dem Gerät zu suche. We der Suchvorgag erfolgreich abgeschlosse wurde, wird im Dialogfester zur Eistellug des OMS-Treibers das Gerät [USB-MIDI] agezeigt. 3 Klicke Sie auf [OK], um ach de Ports zu suche. Im Dialogfester wird Port 1, Port 2... agezeigt. Aktiviere Sie das gewüschte Kotrollkästche für de Port, ud klicke Sie auf [OK], um die Eistellug zu speicher.
