2 Projektinformation Titel: Projektnummer: Projekttyp: Jahr: 2012 Status: Marketing Text: Weiterbildung älterer Arbeitnehmer in Entrepreneurship IS1-LEO Innovationstransfer bewilligt IS-Island Ziel des Projektes ist es, zu motivieren und zu helfen, die Altersgruppe 50 +, neue Fähigkeiten, die sie zur eigenen Existenzgründung ermöglicht bekommen. Dies hat positive Auswirkungen auf die berufliche Mobilität, die Schaffung von Arbeitsplätzen und ist auch eine Maßnahme, um die negativen Folgen des demografischen Wandels zu kämpfen. Die Trainingsmethoden wird auf die spezifischen Bedürfnisse dieser Altersgruppe mit Schwerpunkt auf arbeitsbezogene Aktivitäten, kleine Gruppen und Vorkenntnisse angepasst werden. Das Konsortium mit Parteien aus dem Berufsbildungssystem, privaten Beratungsfirmen, Marktforschungsunternehmen und einer Direktion für Arbeit, die großes Know-how besitzt im Bereich der Berufs-und Erwachsenenbildung und Weiterbildung, Beratung und persönliche Kompetenzentwicklung und machen es mehr auf die Bedürfnisse kombiniert des Arbeitsmarktes. Zusammenfassung: The Governments are struggling to find ways to enhance job creation and fuel growth after the global economic crisis. There is a growing acknowledgement among policymakers that entrepreneurship plays a key role in innovative societies, and that entrepreneurship is an important driver of wealth creation and economic recovery. The training programme which will be transferred, adjusted and implemented is highly relevant for the Leonardo priority of promoting cooperation between vocational education and working life. Additionally will the training programme increase the possibilities of creating new jobs and support the economic growth in participating countries. The results of the project will be strengthened by combining the knowledge and experience of the partners from different European countries. The main aims of the project are: -To integrate the program as a permanent training opportunity in vocational and adult education institutions; -Create new jobs through entrepreneurship and innovation; -Encourage people with long working experience to utilize their ideas and establishing their own business The main objectives of the the proact are: -Transfer, adjust and implement the Danish training program for Entrepreneurs; -To improve access and availability of entrepreneurship education for people with long working experience; -To gather knowledge and experience through the Partners network about designing efficient training programme for older entrepreneurs; -To establish an internet based platform for the Entrepreneurs in order to create a European network for Entrepreneurs and for providers of training for Entrepreneurs; -To make a Guideline for future Entrepreneurs, published on the internet based platform. Like the Nordic entrepreneurship monitor points out, there is a growing acknowledgement among policymakers that entrepreneurship plays a key role in innovative societies, and that entrepreneurship is an important driver of wealth creation and economic recovery. The development of entrepreneurship activities in societies and the provision of favorable environments and framework conditions for starting and growing new businesses will be crucial drivers for economic growth in the coming years. To ensure the future job creation and new entrepreneurs we have to develop an 2

3 Projektinformation efficient training programme for all groups of potential entrepreneurs. In participating countries already exists education for young people in Entrepreneurship in Colleges and Universities. On the other hand, the focus hasn t been on the group of older workers, this group has long working experiences and often a good understanding on how things work in the real business live. While Entrepreneurship is getting part in regular secondary and higher education s it s not provided in a large scale for people older than 50. Older workers do not have the same opportunities to receive an education in Entrepreneurship but by providing an attractive training for them through the VET system we prevent further discrimination. The framework conditions for entrepreneurial capabilities and culture are weak in the Nordic region therefore are it essential to develop an efficient training programme. This project are cooperation between training institutions, business development centers and consultant companies where we will use our former experience to adjust and develop the teaching materiel in Entrepreneurship for the target group. This project fits to the focus of European Union, which have made the year of 2012 as a Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity of Generation. The focus will be to keep the older workers in the workforce and share their experience, keep playing an active role in society and to give them opportunity to live as healthy and fulfilling lives as possible Several researches have showed that the projects target group position on the labour market is different from others in some ways. Firstly, if they get dismissed they are more likely to be unemployed for longer time. Secondly, the group is less likely to use the lifelong learning education system as well as they are not as mobile on the labour market. Every firm that is established can have multiple effects on job creation. The age group 50+ is least likely to take the step to start own business. By assisting, encouraging and training them to do so, new jobs will be created, work mobility will increase with positive effects both economically and socially. Every participant in this program will also be a role model and encourage others who are interested in taking the step. The training programme have been adjusted to the target Group of people 50+. Beschreibung: The main aims of the WP2 were to adjust, improve and adapt existing training programme in Entrepreneurship to the needs of the project target group. In the first stage of the project a research was carried out to identify the interest of people over 50 in starting their own business, as well as the main challenges and training needs. To make the training programme attractive for the target group it was necessary to use the results from the Research Report to adjust the training to the needs of the target group. The results from WP 1 were used to get better understanding of the situation of the target group and which elements we should be focusing on when we adjust the training programme to the target groups need.
