2 Drucktechnik in einer vernetzten Produktion Ziel des Projektes Drucktechnik in einer vernetzten Produktion ist die flexible Produktion von personalisierten Druckprodukten in kleinen Stückzahlen. Um Kundenwünschen gerecht zu werden, brauchen Druckereien für die häufigen Auftragswechsel und vielfältigen Produktionswege eine digitalisierte und automatisierte Auftragsabwicklung. Hierfür ist die Definition eines herstellerunabhängigen Standard-Informationsträgers erforderlich, der den Produktionsablauf über bestehende Schnittstellen hinweg vernetzt. Eine produktgebundene Codierung und die übergeordnete Datenverwaltung stellen Komponenten einer echtzeitfähigen, prozessoptimierten Lösung dar. Bestehende Standards (z. B. JDF) werden bei der Entwicklung berücksichtigt. Die herstellerübergreifende Nutzung sowie der Einsatz auf bestehenden Anlagen ohne große Investitionen sollen ebenfalls möglich sein. Die Mitgliedsfirmen des Fachverbandes Druck- und Papiertechnik im VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbauer) haben das Projekt Drucktechnik in einer vernetzten Produktion initiiert. Aktuell ist die Fraunhofer IWU Projektgruppe RMV aus Augsburg in Kooperation mit dem Lehrstuhl für Produktionsinformatik der Universität Augsburg damit beauftragt, die Prozessschritte der industriellen Druckproduktion zu analysieren und mit einem wissenschaftlichen Ansatz zu einer möglichst vielseitigen Lösung zu entwickeln.

3 Printing Technology in a Networked Production Environment The aim of the Printing Technology in a Networked Production Environment project is to ensure the flexible production of personalized print products in small batches. In order to be able to satisfy their customers wishes, the printing houses need a digitized and automated job handling process for the frequent job changes and manifold production paths. For that, the definition of a manufacturer-independent standardized information carrier is required that interlinks the production process across all existing interfaces. Product-specific encoding and data administration on a higher level are components of a real-time, process optimized solution. Existing standards (e.g., JDF) are taken into account in its development. The plan is to enable customers to use the new standard on existing equipment independent of the manufacturers. while keeping investment costs as low as possible. The Printing Technology in a Networked Production Environment project was initiated by the member companies of the Printing and Paper Technology Association within VDMA (the German Engineering Federation). At present, the Fraunhofer IWU (Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology) RMV (Resource Efficient Mechatronic Processing Machines) Project Group in Augsburg is cooperating with the Chair of Manufacturing Informatics of Augsburg University on an analysis of the process steps of industrial print production and a scientific approach in order to develop a solution that is as widely applicable as possible.
