3 Es ist das am längsten erprobte und vollständigste System mit dem Artikulator in SAM-NORM als zentralem Instrument. Wegen der didaktischen Klarheit werden die langlebigen Geräte in der universitären Ausbildung besonders geschätzt. Im Artikulator schädelgerecht montierte Modelle sind wesentlicher Bestandteil von Diagnostik und Therapie. Zur Einstellung der Okklusionsebene, der Kondylarbahnen, auch für Mittelwerte und für die Montage mit dem Zentrik-Registrat, ist die korrekte räumliche Beziehung der Modelle zur Referenzebene Voraussetzung. Die Frankfurter Horizontale (FH) stellt die universelle räumliche Bezugsebene von Oberkiefer und Unterkiefer am Patient sowie der Modelle im Artikulator dar. Die Referenzpunkte der FH (Porion und Orbitale) stellen sich wegen der topografischen Nähe zur Achs-Orbitale-Ebene (AOE) als besonders praktisch dar. Mittels optimierter Drehpunkte der Scherenmechanik wird eine gleichbleibende und symmetrische Positionierung der Bissgabel gewährleistet. Der SAM AXIOQUICK Gesichtsbogen ist der Schnellübertragungs-bogen mit den -nach wissenschaftlichen Untersuchungen- besten Ergebnissen. Dieser anatomische Transferbogen stellt sich automatisch parallel zur Interpupillar-Linie ein, wenn dieser porion-, anstatt tragusorientiert angelegt wird und die Nasion-Stütze am Os Frontale sanft anliegt. Weiterentwickelte Ohroliven mit Hygieneschutzkappen sowie die neue einhebel Zentralklemme und die NT-Klemme (NON-TORSION statt Doppelklemme) sind die beste Voraussetzung für die exakte räumliche Zuordnung der Bezugsebenen. Soll eine andere Referenz als die FH als Bezugsebene gewählt werden, so ist dies mit dem Referenzpunkt Zeiger (ATB235) anstelle der Nasion-Stütze möglich (z.b. Camper-Ebene).

4 Vorbereitung Zunächst werden die Hygienekappen auf die Ohroliven gesteckt; dabei soll der flache Bereich nach anterior zeigen. Der Bissgabelträger wird mit dem schwarzen Geschiebeteil bis zum Anschlag auf das schwarze Gegenstück am Transferbogen aufgeschoben und die Rändelschraube fixiert. Die Nasion-Stütze wird mittig auf die Grundplatte des Transferbogens geschoben. Die Bissgabel wird zur Prüfung 1 ihrer Parallelität zur Frankfurter Horizontale (FH) und zur Korrektur der Impressionen wieder eingesetzt und im Prämolarenbereich mit zwei Watterollen vom Gegenkiefer festgehalten. Mit Daumen und Zeigefinger hält der Patient den Transferbogen am hintersten Ende und führt die Oliven in den Gehörgang ein. Dabei ist zu beachten, dass die Richtung nach innen und oben erfolgt, bis er wieder hören kann. Der Behandler löst die Fixierschraube an der Nasionstütze und schiebt diese zum Nasensattel, die Rändelschraube wird leicht angedreht. Um einem Abdriften auf dem Nasenrücken vorzubeugen wird der Patient vorteilhafterweise in eine horizontale Position gebracht. Mit Daumen und Zeigefinger 2 der rechten Hand wird vom Behandler das rechteckige schwarze Teil der NT-Klemme derart umfasst, dass die Schmalseite der Klemme am Daumen liegt und der Zeigefinger auf dem SAM Schriftzug liegt. Die Klemme wird zunächst nach links zur Vertikalstange geschoben, dann erst nach oben. Sodann wird die Klemme in Richtung Bissgabel geschwenkt und auf den Bissgabelstiel geschoben.

5 Jetzt erfolgt die Kontrolle der Parallelität zur Interpupillarlinie. Kleine Korrekturen erfolgen durch die Anweisung an den Patienten, den Transferbogen mehr oder weniger vertikal anzuheben. 3 Die Position der NT-Klemme auf dem Bissgabelstiel soll mittig sein. Während der Patient den Transferbogen weiterhin unterstützt, wird zuerst die NT-Klemme, dann die Klemme an der Vertikalstange festgedreht. 5

6 4 Der Patient öffnet den Mund und nimmt die Endstücke des Transferbogens aus dem Gehörgang. Die rechte Hand des Behandlers unterstützt durch Druck auf das Mittelteil die Spreizung des Bogens. Beide Flügelschrauben des Bissgabelträgers werden nachgedreht, wobei am Gewindeblock gegengehalten wird. Anatomic Facebow Transfer System provides for the dental practitioner a simple, quick method to accurately attach the maxillary cast to the articulator, anatomically correct. Now, your articulator mounted casts will look authentic, and have the correct 3D anatomic relationships of the patient. Research has resulted in the development of a new earpiece shape, hygienic earpiece caps, and a special patented SAM NT (non torsion) clamp for the AXIOQUICK Anatomic Facebow. These new innovations, when used along with the correct clinical protocol, result in the maxillary cast being attached to the articulator with the same anatomic relationship as exists in the patient. Your maxillary cast will be positioned parallel to the interpupillary line, the anatomic Axis Orbital plane, the anatomic Frankfort Horizontal Plane, and in alignment with the midsagittal plane. Also, your maxillary cast will be symmetrically positioned in relation to the upper member of the articulator. Optionally available is an adjustable Nasion Relator for the selection of a personalized anterior reference point giving you a different horizontal plane.

9 Procedure: Attach earpiece cap to black earpiece with flat surface positioned anterior. Attach facebow transfer fork assembly to the upper flagbow with the black attachment clamp fully seated and then tightened in position. Fully retract the Nasion Relator and attach to rear midline of the upper flagbow. Make a three point facebow transfer fork compound impression of the maxillary teeth. After checking for fit, add compound to the underside of the fork in the premolar area, and reposition in the patient. Once cooled, the facebow transfer fork should be held accurately and firmly in position with the mandibular teeth. 1 Patient holds the facebow with the thumb and index finger opposite the covered earpiece. The patient positions the earpiece into both ear canals equally blocking the hearing. Then the earpieces are moved superior, slightly inward into the small boney depression, and at the same time hearing is restored. With the patient holding the earpieces and facebow posterior, position the Nasion Relator into light contact with the Nasion to establish an initial horizontal plane and verify that the flagbow top surface is parallel to the interpupillary line. 2 Make sure both NT and vertical bar clamps are loose. Take the NT clamp assembly and attach it to the facebow transfer fork. Hold the NT clamp assembly with one hand and the bar clamp with your other hand. Move the NT clamp slightly forward and backward on the facebow transfer fork and at the same time carefully tighten the NT bar clamp firmly to position. 9

10 Control the parallelism to the interpupillary line. For small corrections instruct the patient to move the transferbow vertically. 3 Hold the horizontal rod clamp assembly with one hand, check the Nasion Relator vertical position, and adjust as necessary. Then, with the other hand, tighten the bar clamp to ensure correct vertical positioning of the Nasion Relator. 10

11 4 Patient is instructed to open the mouth and simultaneously remove the earpieces from the ear canal. Carefully check that both bar clamps are firmly tightened and the facebow transfer fork stays in position.
