6 1. Algemene beschrijving & technische gegevens 1.1. Leveringsomvang In de verpakking treft u de volgende zaken aan: - Manual - Gyro-tol S-300 Controleer of de bovengenoemde items allemaal aanwezig zijn. Wanneer een van deze items ontbreekt adviseren wij u direct contact op te nemen met uw verkooppunt. Lees voor het installeren van de S-300 deze manual aandachtig door. Tevens adviseren wij u ook de manuals van de aangesloten apparatuur aandachtig door te lezen Beschrijving van meegeleverde items Manual Hierin zijn de functionaliteit van de S-300 alsmede hoe u deze dient aan te sluiten beschreven Bochtsnelheid sensor S Voedingsspanning: 20-36V DC. - Stroomopname: minder dan 2A. - Resolutie: 0,1 /min bij 90 /min. 0,5 /min bij 300 /min. - Afwijking <5% van de volle schaalverdeling. - Aanlooptijd maximaal 30 sec. - Alarmcontact uitgang. - NMEA ROT uitgang. 7 2. Installatie voorschrift 2.1. Montage De gyro-tol moet bij voorkeur dusdanig worden gepositioneerd dat deze zo dicht mogelijk bij het zwaartepunt van één van de dwarsdoorsneden van het schip. Hierdoor wordt het rol effect en het effect van andere bewegingen geminimaliseerd. Dit is vooral belangrijk wanneer men de gyro-tol wenst op te nemen in een systeem met een automatische piloot. U dient er ook voor te zorgen dat de bochtsnelheid sensor volledig horizontaal gepositioneerd wordt, dit voorkomt enige foutieve metingen. Wanneer u de gyro-tol monteert dient u er zorg voor te dragen dat de lijn, op het deksel van de bochtsnelheid sensor, samenvalt of evenwijdig loopt met de lengteas van het schip. Door middel van bouten kunt u deze bevestigen. Veilige kompasafstand van de bochtsnelheid sensor: 0,9 meter. Page 7 of 31 Subject: S-300 Rate of Turn Sensor - Manual

8 3. Aansluitingen 3.1. Elektrische aansluitingen S-300 K1 Voeding Hierop wordt 20-36V DC voedingsspanning aangesloten, deze is intern beveiligd tegen ompolen en overspanning. De voeding kan direct vanuit een MultiHUB, via een separate voedingskabel of via een Falcon piloot junctionbox worden aangesloten. De aarding dient via de wartel te gebeuren zoals aangegeven in onderstaande tekening. Page 8 of 31 Subject: S-300 Rate of Turn Sensor - Manual

9 K2 NMEA Hierop sluit men de inkomende en uitgaande NMEA aan. De ingang wordt gebruikt om informatie en commando s door te sturen naar de gyro-tol. Deze dienen om het meetgebied te wijzigen of een test uit te voeren. Wanneer de S- 300 op een Falcon systeem wordt aangesloten kan de NMEA uitgang rechtstreeks op een D-1000 zichtinstrument, of op een MultiHUB worden aangesloten. Deze NMEA aansluitingen zijn galvanisch gescheiden van de andere elektronica. K3 CAN Deze aansluiting is bedoeld voor toekomstige ontwikkelingen en is momenteel nog niet actief. 10 K4 Analoog, relais, test Op de aansluitingen K4/1 en K4/2 wordt een analoog signaal aangeboden van 20mV/ /min. Deze analoge uitgang is galvanisch gescheiden van de andere elektronica. Het relais contact op K4/3, K4/4 en K4/5 geeft u de mogelijkheid om een alarmindicator aan te sluiten welke u informeert wanneer de bochtsnelheid sensor niet naar behoren functioneert. Wanneer de bochtsnelheid sensor goed functioneert zal het relais geopend zijn. In alle andere gevallen is het contact gesloten. K4/6 en K4/7 kan gebruikt worden om een test signaal van een ouder Radio Zeeland DMP zicht instrument op aan te sluiten. Dit bijvoorbeeld wanneer de S-300 een RZ 630 vervangt. De test werkt dan slechts naar één zijde toe. 4. Afregeling 4.1. Methodes Middels een Falcon D1000 zichtinstrument of een PC voorzien van afregelsoftware kan men de S-300 inregelen. Alle versterkingen zijn reeds ingesteld tijdens de test procedure in de fabriek. Deze kunnen dan ook niet door de gebruiker worden afgeregeld. In case of an incomplete delivery, please contact your dealer as soon as possible. 13 2. Installation instructions 2.1. Mounting instruction The rate of turn indicator must be positioned so, that this is as close as possible to the center of gravity of one off the cross-sections of the ship. This minimizes the roll effect or other motions on the sensor. This is mainly important if you are using the S-300 sensor in combination with an autopilot. You also have to make sure the indicator is positioned completely horizontal to minimize any errors in readings. When you are mounting the rate of turn indicator you have to make sure the line on top of the housing is coincides or parallel to the longitudinal axis of the ship. The sensor can be mounted by means of bolts. You will have to respect a minimum safe distance for the compass of 0,9 meters. Page 13 of 31 Subject: S-300 Rate of Turn Sensor - Manual

14 3. Connections 3.1. Electrical connections S-300 K1: Power supply Here the 20-36V DC power supply will be connected to, the sensor is internally protected against over voltage or reversal of the mains and ground lead. The power can directly be drawn from a MultiHUB, a separate lead or a Falcon line pilot junction box. Grounding should be done as drawing below. 15 K2 NMEA Here the NMEA input and output signals can be connected. The input is used for making adjustments in the settings menu of the S-300 and for sending test signals. When the sensor is placed in a Falcon network, it will be possible to connect the NMEA output to a Falcon D1000 panel or a MultiHUB. The NMEA signals are galvanic separated from the other electronics. K3 CAN This connections will be used in future developments and is not active. 16 K4 Analogue, relays and test On the connections K4/1 and K4/2 there is an analogue output signal of 20mV/ /min. This analogue output is galvanic separated from the other electronics. The relays contacts on K4/3, K4/4 and K4/5 lets you connect an alarm indicator to the sensor. This can inform you when the S-300 is not functioning right. When the sensor is functioning properly the contact will be open. In all other cases the contact will be closed. K4/6 and K4/7 is used to connect the test signal of an old model Radio Zeeland DMP panel. For instance when the S-300 is replacing a RZ-630. The test signal will only work to one side instead of both sides. 4. Adjustments 4.1. Methods You are able to adjust the S-300 by means of a Falcon D1000 panel or a PC with our dedicated software. All gain settings have been made during the testing procedure, these settings cannot be modified by the user. Lieferumfang In der Verpackung finden Sie die folgenden Artikel: - Handbuch - Gyro Kreisel S-300 Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle oben genannten Elemente vorhanden sind. Ist dies nicht der Fall, bitte wenden Sie sich so bald wie möglich an Ihren Händler. Vor der Installation der S-300 lesen Sie sorgfältig dieses Handbuch und die Handbücher der zusätzlichen Ausrüstung im Zusammenhang mit diesem. 19 2. Installationsvorschrift 2.1. Montage Der Gyro -Kreisel sollte vorzugsweise so nah wie möglich an der Mitte einer der Querschnitt des Schiffes positioniert werden. Dadurch wird die Rolle Auswirkung und den Einfluss der anderen Bewegungen minimiert. Dies ist besonders wichtig, wenn man der Gyro-Kreisel in einem System mit einem Autopiloten enthalten will. Sie sollten auch dafür sorgen, dass der Wendegeschwindigkeit vollständig horizontal angebracht wird, dies verhindert eine Fehlmessung. Wenn Sie der Gyro-Kreisel montieren, müssen Sie sicherstellen, dass die Linie auf dem Deckel des Wendegeschwindigkeit Sensor, zeitgleich oder parallel zur Längsachse des Schiffes lauft. 20 3. Anschlüsse 3.1. Elektrische Anschlüsse S-300 K1 Spannungsversorgung Hier wird die 20-36V DC Spannungsversorgung angeschlossen. Die Spannungsversorgung ist gesichert für die Umkehr-und Überspannung. Die Spannung wird direkt von einem MultiHUB über eine separate Stromversorgung oder eine Falcon Pilot Anschlusskasten angeschlossen werden. 21 K2 NMEA Hier schließt man eingehende und ausgehende NMEA an. Der Eingang wird verwendet um Informationen und Befehle zu Gyro Kreisel zu senden. Diese werden verwendet um die Maß Fläche zu ändern oder einen Test durchzuführen. Wenn der S-300 auf einem Falcon-System angeschlossen wird darf man den NMEA-Ausgang direkt mit einem D-1000 Sichtinstrument anschließen oder auf einem MultiHUB. Diese NMEA-Anschließe sind galvanisch getrennt vom Rest der Elektronik. K3 CAN Diese Verbindung ist für künftige Entwicklungen und ist derzeit nicht aktiv. 22 K4 Analog, Relais, Test Auf der Verbindungen K4 /1 und K4/2 wird ein analoges Signal von 20mV/ /min angeboten. Dieser analoge Ausgang ist galvanisch von der restlichen Elektronik getrennt. Der Relaiskontakt K4/3, K4/4 und K4/5 gibt Ihnen die Möglichkeit einen Alarm- Anzeige anzuschließen, die Sie darüber informiert, wenn die Kurve Geschwindigkeits-Sensor nicht richtig funktioniert. Wenn die Wendegeschwindigkeit Sensor gut funktioniert, wird das Relais geöffnet sein. In allen anderen Fällen wird der Kontakt geschlossen. K4/6 und K4/7 kann verwendet werden um ein Test Signal von einer früheren Radio Zeeland DMP Sichtinstrument anzuschließen. Dies zum Beispiel, wo die S-300 eine RZ 630 ersetzt. Der Test wirkt dann nur auf einer Seite zu. 4. Anpassung 4.1. Methoden Mit einem Falcon D1000 Sichtinstrument oder eine besondere Anpassungsprogramm auf dem PC kann man den Rückmelder S-300 anpassen. Alle Verstärkungen sind bereits während der Testverfahren in der Fabrik eingestellt. Sie können daher nicht durch die Benutzer angepasst werden. Wenn Sie Zweifeln über die korrekte Einstellung der Gyro-Kreisel können Sie jederzeit die S-300 in der Fabrik zu Kontrollieren anbieten Dipswitch settings Mit den DipSchaltern auf den S-300 print (RZ 2128/Ax) kann man die S-300 anpassen; SW1-1 SW1-2 SW1-3 SW1-4 Description: ON X X X S-300 kann aus Gesetz werden mit ein Sigma300 OFF X X X S-300 kann nicht ausgesetz werden.
