Einführung: Ziele, Kontext und Überblick - Moderne Organisationen und die Rolle der industriellen Betriebsführung - Grundlagen der Organisationsstrukturierung - Unternehmensstrategie und deren Verbindung zur operativen Betriebsführung - Erläuterung der Vorlesungsstruktur 2. Der Innovationsprozess und sein Einfluss auf die Produktion - Produktlebenszyklus, Produktplanung, Produktentwicklung, Produktgestaltungsprozess, Veränderungsmanagement, Rationalisierung, Innovationsmanagement 3. Bildungsziele und - ergebnisse 16.1 Wissen und Verstehen 16.2 Anwendung 16.3 Reflexion Nach erfolgreichem Besuch dieser Lehrveranstaltung sollten die Studierenden folgende Kenntnisse erlangt haben: - grundlegendes Verständnis des Strategieprozesses im Unternehmen sowie der wesentlichen strategischen Instrumente - Grundkenntnisse des Innovations- und Produktentwicklungsprozesses im Unternehmen - Kenntnis der wichtigsten Methoden und Techniken der Produktionsplanung und Steuerung - die Fähigkeit zur Übertragung der erlernten Methoden und Erkenntnisse auf internationale Produktionsprobleme Mehrere Fallstudien, praktische Beispiele und Exkursionen zu Industriebetrieben sollen den Studenten auf die Anwendung des erlernten theoretischen Wissens in der Praxis veranschaulichen. It wants to give a good theoretical fundament as well as practical insights and solutions for daily business issues emphasizing the importance of combining good strategic thinking with a team-based approach to daily problem solving in manufacturing companies. 1. Introduction: Course Objectives, Context, and Outline - Contemporary organizations and the role of Operations Management (OM) - The basic organizational structure and the scope of the OM - Corporate strategy and its connection to operations - The basic course structure 2. The company s innovation process and it s impact on manufacturing - Product life cycle, product planning, product development, process of product design, management of design change, rationalization in design and development, management of innovations 3. Production planning and Inventory Control - The basic EOQ model and some of its variants - Replenishment coordinating approaches - Analysis of serial production systems - Flow lines as the preferred layout for discrete-part, repetitive manufacturing - Flow line classification: Push vs. Pull, Synchronous vs. Asynchronous production lines, KANBAN -based production systems - Process Design, Capacity Planning and Line Balancing - Hierarchical Production Planning - Forecasting - Aggregate Planning
