2 Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, die Liberalisierung der Briefmärkte in den Mitgliedsstaaten Europas ist seit Jahresbeginn 2013 vollendet. Die Universaldienstleister erfahren weiterhin das steigende Tempo der elektronischen Substitution von Briefen, andererseits das Wachstum der nationalen und internationalen Paketmärkte in Folge des e-commerce. Die e-government Strategien der staatlichen Stellen treiben einerseits die Substitution, verlangen andererseits neue Angebote sicherer elektronischer Kommunikation. Geänderte Lebens- und Arbeitswelten und die demografische Entwicklung erfordern nicht nur neue Filialvertriebskonzepte. Die Angebote müssen auf neue Bedürfnisse der Kunden an Nachfragezeiten und Bedienformen zielgerichtet zugeschnitten werden. Die Empfänger als wichtige Kundengruppe erhalten neue Angebote z.b. 24/7 Services, Pick-up Points oder Change of Date and Place. Die aktive Förderung der Marke»Post«und die Sicherung des hohen Verbrauchervertrauens sind unerlässlich für neue, digitale und hybride Angebote der Universaldienstleister. Die 11. Petersbergkonferenz zur Zukunft der Postal Outlets präsentiert internationale, innovative Erfolgsbeispiele aus den Postal Outlet Networks. Die Konferenz wird Ihnen erneut die Möglichkeit bieten, Kontakte zu knüpfen, intensive Gespräche zu führen und im Erfahrungsaustausch die eigene Position zu bestimmen. Dear Sir, dear Madam The postal markets in the EU Member States have been fully liberalised since January Universal service providers continue to witness an acceleration in the substitution of mail by electronic communication as well as rapid growth in the national and international parcel sector as a result of the e-commerce boom. The emergence of national e-government strategies is boosting electronic substitution, which in turn creates rising demand for new and secure forms of electronic communication. New lifestyles and working conditions, plus a changing demographic, call for innovative approaches and concepts, not just in retail outlets. Services have to be aligned with customers changing needs in terms of opening hours and service infrastructures. Addressees, a major customer group, are being offered new forms of service such as 24/7 selfservice machines, pick-up points and»change of date and place«services. Actively promoting the»post«brand and maintaining consumer confidence at a high level is crucial to universal service providers that wish to market new digital and hybrid products and services successfully. The 11 th Petersberg Conference on the future of postal retail outlets will present a number of innovative success stories from retail networks around the world.
