13 Maximalrabatt MAXIMUM DISCOUNT Bei Addition einzelner Nachlässe beträgt der Maximalrabatt 10% If various discounts apply, the total of discounts added may not exceed 10% Charterdauer Ab der Mindestdauer von einer Woche ist eine beliebige Länge der Charterzeit (z. B. 10 Tage) möglich. Darauf folgende Tage werden zu 1/7 des Wochenpreises berechnet. Ein- und Auscheck Die Yacht kann an jedem beliebigen Wochentag in Abstimmung mit den anderweitigen Reiseplänen der Gäste übernommen und zurückgegeben werden. Der Übergabe erfolgt am ersten Chartertag ab Uhr, die Rückgabe am letzten Chartertag bis Uhr. Abweichende Zeiten, z. B. in Abstimmung mit Flugzeiten, sind möglich, bedürfen aber der schriftlichen Bestätigung durch Platten Sailing Cuba. Kaution Die Kaution von Euro kann bar oder mit Kreditkarte (Eurocard/Mastercard, Visa) hinterlegt werden. Für den Spinnaker wird eine Zusatzkaution von 300 Euro fällig. Bootsführerschein Der entsprechende gültige Bootsführerschein des Heimatlandes muss im Original mitgeführt werden. Wichtige Vorschriften Nachtsegelverbot innerhalb der Riffs und in Flachwassergebieten. Es dürfen sich nur Personen, die auf der behördlich genehmigten Crewliste aufgeführt sind, an Bord befinden. Häfen/Marinas: Nach dem Einlaufen und vor dem Auslaufen ist die Behördenabfertigung an Bord abzuwarten. Segelrevier: die kubanischen Hoheitsgewässer dürfen keinesfalls verlassen werden. CHARTER PERIOD After a minimum period of one week, any individual length of the charter (e.g. 10 days) is also possible. Each further day is charged at 1/7 of the weekly rate. EMBARK AND DISEMBARK To meet the travel plans of our guests as good as possible, embarkation and disembarkation can be done every day of the week. Embarkation is at 18:00 of the first day of the charter, disembarkation at 10:00 of the last day. Different times to meet airline schedules etc. are possible, but they require written confirmation by Platten Sailing Cuba. SECURITY DEPOSIT For the security deposit of Euros we accept cash or credit cards (Mastercard, Visa) The use of a spinnaker requires an extra deposit of 300 Euros YACHTING LICENSE A valid yachting permit issued by the home country s authorities must be carried along (original document). IMPORTANT RULES Nighttime sailing is prohibited within reefs and shallow areas. Only persons who are listed on the officially approved crew list may come aboard. After entering and before leaving a port or marina, authority clearance must be waited for on board of the yacht. Sailing area: Cuba s national waters may not be left under any circumstances. 16 Reisedokumente TRAVEL DOCUMENTS Für die Einreise nach Cuba benötigen Sie einen Reisepass, der noch mindestens 6 Monate gültig ist, sowie den Nachweis einer Reise-Krankenversicherung. Impfungen oder dergleichen sind nicht erforderlich. Cuba ist malariafrei. Es ist kein Visum erforderlich, dieses wird durch die Touristenkarte ersetzt, die gegen eine Gebühr von ca. 30 Euro bei uns oder direkt bei der Botschaft der Republik Cuba erhältlich ist. Der rechte Abschnitt dieser Karte ist bis zur Ausreise aufzubewahren, es erfolgt kein weiterer Eintrag in den Pass. Die Touristenkarte berechtigt zu einem Aufenthalt in Cuba von maximal einem Monat und kann einmal für den selben Zeitraum verlängert werden. The passport must be still valid for at least 6 more months after entering Cuba. Proof of Travel-/International Health Insurance is requested. No vaccinations or immunizations are required. Cuba is free of malaria. The visa has been replaced by a tourist card, which can be obtained at a 30 Euro fee from us, travel agencies and Cuban embassies. The right portion has to be kept until departure, there will be no stamp in the passport. The tourist card is valid for a maximum stay of one month and can be prolonged once for another month. 21 Kommunikation COMMUNICATIONS Am Marinagebäude befindet sich ein Kartentelefon für internationale Verbindungen. Telefonkarten kosten 10 bzw. 20 CUC. Telefonieren mit dem eigenen Mobiltelefon ist möglich. In den Hotels gibt es Internet-Cafés, die auch genutzt werden können, wenn man nicht Gast des Hauses ist. Ein WLAN-Netz ist an öffentlichen Plätzen und in den Marinas von Cienfuegos und Cayo Largo verfügbar. Zugang per Prepaid-Karten für 1,50 CUC pro Stunde. Proviant PROVISIONING Die Marina Cienfuegos bietet die Lieferung von Proviant direkt an Bord nach einer Bestell-Liste an. Für diese Dienstleistung ist ein geringer Aufpreis eingerechnet. Die Liste sollte mindestens zwei Wochen vor Charterbeginn vorliegen, um nicht vorhandene Artikel besorgen zu können. Allerdings ist wie im normalen Handel auch hier damit zu rechnen, dass saisonbedingt manche Waren nicht erhältlich sind. Die Devisenläden im Stadtzentrum führen ein umfangreiches und für den Bedarf an Bord ausreichendes Warenangebot. Ein moderner, gut sortierter Supermarkt befindet sich in Punta Gorda, ca. 500 m von der Marina. Dieser Supermarkt ist täglich, auch Sonntags, von 9 bis 21 Uhr geöffnet. There is a prepaid-card telephone for international calls at the marina office building. Phone cards are available for 10 and 20 CUC each. You can also use your own cellular phone. Internet cafés can be found in the hotels and can also be used if you are not staying at the hotel. A WiFi network provides internet access at public places as well as in the marinas of Cienfuegos and Cayo Largo at 1.50 CUC per hour by prepaid cards. Marina Cienfuegos offers the delivery of provisioning to the ship by an ordering list. There is a small surcharge for this service. The list should be handed in at least two weeks before the travel date to provide all items which may not be in stock. Nevertheless, some articles may not be available due to the season, like in normal trade. The hard-currency shops in the center of the city have a large supply of goods which will satisfy all usual needs aboard. A modern, well-stocked supermarket is located at Punta Gorda about 500 meters from the marina. 22 Seit November 2004: US-Dollar werden als Bargeld nicht mehr verwendet! Since November 2004:US dollar cash is not being used any more! Peso Convertible (CUC) Moneda Nacional (CUP) Geld MONEY Gegen harte Währung sind auch in Cuba praktisch alle, auch ausländischen, Waren zu bekommen. Während nach wie vor auf Basis des US-Dollars kalkuliert und gehandelt wird, wurde der Dollar im November 2004 als Bargeld-Zahlungsmittel vom Peso Convertible (CUC) abgelöst. Als Grund wurde die schwierige Versorgung mit Dollar-Scheinen wegen des amerikanischen Boykotts genannt. Für den Umtausch von US-Dollar-Bargeld wird eine Umtausch(straf)steuer von 10% erhoben. Andere Währungen, wie z.b. Euro, Schweizer Franken, Pfund Sterling und Kanadische Dollar sind von diesem Abschlag befreit. Der Wechselkurs des Peso Convertible (CUC) wird von der kubanischen Nationalbank festgelegt. Er ist nicht mehr wie früher dem US-Dollar 1:1 gleichgestellt! Der Umtausch von Euro-Bargeld und die Abhebung mit Kreditkarten (keine amerikanischen bzw. von amerikanischen Banken ausgestellten Karten!) ist bei den Banken möglich, der Wechselkurs für Kreditkarten aber extrem ungünstig (ca. 15% Verlust!). In bestimmten Tourismus-Zentren (Varadero, Cayo Largo) werden auch Euro akzeptiert. Der Euro entspricht etwa 1,02 Peso Convertible (03/2017) Der Cubanische Peso (CUP, Moneda Nacional) ist nur etwa 4 Cent wert und wird für Geschäfte mit Ausländern normalerweise nicht verwendet. ACHTUNG: Nicht mit dem Peso Convertible verwechseln (lassen)!!! Hard currency buys all, also foreign, goods in Cuba. While much business is still calculated and done based on US dollars, the dollar has been replaced as the money of daily use by the Peso Convertible (CUC) in November The reason given were problems to supply enough dollar bills under the US blockade. Cash dollars are under a punishing 10% change tax, while other currencies (EUR, SFR, GBP) are exempt from this fee. The exchange rate of the Peso Convertible(CUC) is set by the Cuban National Bank, it is no more equal to the US dollar. It is possible to change European currency or withdraw money with credit cards at the banks (no American cards or cards issued by US banks!). The exchange rate for credit cards is extremely unfavorable (loss of ca. 15%). At some tourism spots (Varadero, Cayo Largo) Euros are directly accepted. The Cuban Peso (CUP, Moneda Nacional), with a real value of about 4 cents, normally is not being used when dealing with foreigners. Don t mix it up with convertible CUC! 23 Preise und Kosten PRICES AND COST OF LIVING Cuba ist kein ausgesprochen billiges Land schließlich ist der Tourismus inzwischen dringend benötigter Devisenbringer Nummer 1, aber von der exzessiven Preispiraterie anderer Karibikinseln ist man noch weit entfernt. Die Preise für viele Waren orientieren sich an europäischem Niveau, bei Importgütern kommt gelegentlich noch ein Transportzuschlag dazu. Extrem billig ist alles, was mit Moneda Nacional gekauft werden kann für Touristen fast nichts außer etwas Obst und Gemüse vom Bauernmarkt. Völlig überteuert sind die Telefongebühren nach Europa, und auch Leihwägen sind sehr teuer und oft nicht auf internationalem Standard. Hotel- und Restaurantpreise bleiben im Rahmen, bei annehmbarem Komfort kostet eine Übernachtung ab 50 Euro. Billiger und oft auch besser sind Privatrestaurants (paladares) und Pensionen (casas particulares), wo die Übernachtung zwischen 20 und 35 Euro kostet. Ein dreigängiges Menü liegt zwischen acht und zwölf Euro, dazu je Getränk (Bier, Cola etc.) ein bis zwei Euro, Cocktails (Cuba Libre, Mojíto) eineinhalb bis fünf Euro. Mit Fast-Food von El Rapido kann man für zwei bis fünf Euro den Magen füllen. Schiffsspezifische Kosten: Die Marinas verlangen eine Liegegebühr zwischen 35 und 45 Cent je Fuss Schiffslänge plus Strom und Wasser, unterm Strich etwa 20 Euro pro Nacht. Diesel kostet ca. 1,05 E/Liter (2017). Cuba is not a cheap country. After all, tourism is the number one source for urgently needed hard currency. But the excessive price piracy of other Caribbean Islands is still far away. Prices for many goods are oriented to the European level, with a transportation surcharge on many imports. Everything that Moneda Nacional buys is extremely cheap, but this is almost nothing for the ordinary tourist except some fruit and vegetables from the farmer s markets. Telephone costs to Europe are outrageous, and rental cars also are very expensive and frequently do not meet international standards. Hotel and Restaurant prices are acceptable, a comfortable hotel room starts at 50 Euros. Cheaper and often better are private restaurants (paladares) and bed-and-breakfasts (casas particulares), where you can stay for 20 to 35 Euros a night. A three course meal will cost between eight and twelve Euros, plus one to two Euros for each drink (beer, coke) and one-and-a-half to five Euros for cocktails like the Cuba Libre or Mojíto. Fast food at El Rapido fills the stomach for two to five Euros. Yacht-related costs: Marina fees are between 35 and 45 Cents per foot of the ship s length, electricity and water added, to end up at around 20 Euros per night.
