2 Saisonale Energieeffizienz von Flüssigkeitskühlsätzen mit BITZER Verdichtern Fallstudie 1 Allgemeine Erläuterungen Zur Bestimmung der saisonalen Energieeffizienz (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio [SEER]) von Flüssigkeitskühlsätzen und Klimageräten wurde ein neues Berechnungsverfahren entwickelt, das im CEN Normentwurf (pr)en14825 definiert ist. Es dient zur Bestimmung des jährlichen Energieverbrauchs und der jährlichen kumulierten Kälteleistung der Kühlsätze. Auf diese Weise kann ein repräsentativer Wert der saisonalen Energieeffizienz berechnet werden. Bei Flüssigkeitskühlsätzen für Komfort-Klimasysteme basiert diese Methode auf 4 Bezugspunkten. Die einzelnen Bezugspunkte ergeben sich aus unterschiedlichen Umgebungstemperaturen und unterschiedlichen Kühllasten. 2 SEER-Berechnung Bedingungen Seasonal Energy Efficiency of Chillers with BITZER compressors Case Study 1 General Information In order to determine the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) of chillers and air conditioners, a new calculation method has been developed which is defined in the CEN Draft Standard (pr)en It aims at determining both the annual energy consumption and the annual cooling capacity of the unit. This way a representative value of the seasonal efficiency can be achieved. For chillers used for comfort air-conditioning, this method is based on 4 rating points. Each point is evaluated at different ambient temperatures featuring different cooling loads. 2 SEER Calculation Conditions Ambient temperature [ C] Cooling load [%] EER A EER B EER C EER D EER-Werte an Bezugspunkten identisch mit Verdichter COPs. 1 EER values at rating points identical with compressor COPs. Die bei jedem Bezugspunkt errechnete Energieeffizienz-Kennzahl (EER) wird mit dem BIN Temperaturprofil von Straßburg (repräsentativ für das durchschnittliche europäische Klima) gewichtet. Bei dieser Bewertung wird das typische Nutzungsverhalten simuliert. BIN Werte definieren die Summe der Stunden gleicher Umgebungstemperatur während eines Jahres. Diese neue Methode ist die entscheidende Voraussetzung für zuverlässige Ergebnisse bei der Berechnung der saisonalen Energieeffizienz (SEER). Flüssigkeitskühlsätze, welche die erforderliche Kälteleistung nicht erreichen, werden mit einem Abschlagsfaktor belegt. Dieser Faktor soll das An-/Ausschalten (ON/OFF) von Geräten ohne Leistungssteuerung simulieren. Nachfolgend wird der jährliche Energiebedarf des Verdichters als Bestandteil eines Flüssigkeitskühlsatzes bei drei unterschiedlichen Anlagenausführungen verglichen. Aufgrund der Systemabhängigkeit von Hilfsantrieben ist deren Energiebedarf in der folgenden Fallstudie nicht berücksichtigt. 3 Fallstudie Die nachfolgenden Fallstudien basieren auf: The EERs calculated at each rating point are weighted among the temperature BIN of Strasbourg (as average European climate) and has been specifically adapted to match typical usage behavior. Temperature BINs are ambient temperature areas which have a dedicated number of hours per year with the same temperatures. This is a key point of the new method to obtain reliable results for the seasonal energy efficiency. Chillers which are not able to deliver the requested cooling load are penalized with a degradation factor according to the calculation scheme. This degradation factor is supposed to simulate on/off cycling of units without capacity regulation. Here, we will compare the annual power consumption of the compressor as a part of the chiller for three different system designs.
