7 What is Global GAP GLOBALGAP is a private sector body that sets out voluntary standards for the certification of production processes of agricultural (including Aquaculture) products around the globe. GLOBALGAP is a global scheme and a reference for Good Agricultural Practice (G.A.P.), which is managed by the GLOBALGAP Secretariat.

8 Global GAP IFA Structure The GLOBALGAP IFA CPCC document is separated into different modules. These modules are grouped into: 1. Scopes covering more generic production issues, classified more broadly (All Farm Base, Crops Base, Livestock Base and Aquaculture Base). 2. Sub-scopes covering specific production details, classified per product type (Fruit and Vegetables, Combinable Crops, Coffee (green), Tea, Flowers and Ornamentals, Cattle & Sheep, Pigs, Dairy, Poultry, Salmon and Trout

17 Parallel Production(PP) Parallel Production is the situation where individual producers, producer members or producer groups produce the same product partly as certified and partly as non-certified e.g. A farmer grows beans. 18 Parallel ownership(po) Parallel Ownership is the situation where individual producers, producer members or producer groups buy non-certified products of the same product they grow under certified production Cultivates certified roses and buy non-certified roses PP/PO should be informed to the CB During registration! If not done and Detected during audit/inspection Immediate suspension

The embedded QR code may contain: GGN number of the producer/company that labels the product, URL of the GGN number validation website, URL of the GLOBALG.A.P. Database, The batch number of the product, Combinations of the above. For producer always together with GGN!

29 Steps to Get Certified Step 1: Download the relevant GLOBALG.A.P. Standard Documents and Checklists from the global GAP website Step 2: Compare offers from the certification bodies, register with the one you choose and get your GLOBALG.A.P. Number (GGN). - the list of GLOBALG.A.P. approved certification bodies are available in the Global GAP website.

31 Steps to Get Certified cont Step 3: - Carry out a self-assessment using the checklist and correct all the points you don t comply with. - You can make use of approved farmer assures - the full list of GLOBALG.A.P. Licensed Farm Assurers are available in the Global GAP website.

33 Steps to Get Certified cont Step 4: Arrange an appointment with your GLOBALG.A.P. approved certification body. An inspector will then conduct the first on-site inspection. Step 5: Once you successfully comply with the standard s requirements, you will receive a GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance Standard certificate for the relevant Version and Scope which is valid for one year.
