4 Application: A back plate with vortex breaker is especially suitable if turbulence is required around the seal area, for instance with a view to optimize cleaning. In case of pumping of abrasive media, the vortex breaker prevents the occurrence of a perpetually rotating flow in the sealing chamber which would cause erosion of the back plate. Vortex breaker Strudelbrecher Anti vortex Anwendungen: Eine Hinterplatte mit Strudelbrecher ist besonders zu empfehlen, wenn Strudel im Dichtungsbereich erforderlich sind, z.b. zur Optimierung der Reinigung. Bei abrasiven Medien verhindert der Strudelbrecher permanent auftretenden Rotationsfluss im Dichtungsraum, der eine Abnutzung der Hinterplatte zur Folge hätte. 5 Internal product circulation: Circulation of fluid from the pressure side to the shaft seal chamber. Corresponds to the basic arrangement: Code no. 02 ISO 5199 Purpose: The purpose is to remove frictional heat from the seal area, to lower the temperature of the seal or to prevent build-up of product due to excess heat. Recirculation arrangement: On the pumps the arrangement has been built into special back plates. Therefore, these will replace the standard back plates in the pump range. However, for some pumps we have developped a high-pressure clamp ring that allows for 20 or 25 bar. See "Special" and the separate part numbers. Note: Under no circumstances may the rated pressure of the pump exceed that of the pump fittings or flanges.
