Hardware and software developments in the field of professional studio equipment. 1988 Development of conference and media control systems, additional business fields: conferencing, video conferencing and technical television. 1991 Initial advisory services in the context of project planning, engineering services and external development projects. 1993 With the entry of Guido Erben Dipl.-Ing., the company s engineering services are systematically expanded and set up as a separate field of activity. 1997 In addition to hardware and software development, electrification systems for high-quality conference tables are developed and used, for example, by WILKHAHN in its products. 2000 Development of a software tool for the management of media systems, POI and POS applications, "Media Facility Management". Engineer s office and systems house separated with clear responsibilities. Independent engineering consultancy expanded. 2008 Additional engineers and technical staff hired to complement the team. Twenty employees develop products and realise planning and projects throughout Germany and its bordering European neighbours. They generate a project volume of approximately 9.5 million. 1

2 Service areas 30 years of experience in the processing of image, sound and control signals form the basis for independent planning approaches. Thanks to this experience in a very dynamic technology sector, independent of trends, we are able to detect important technical developments early on and correctly assess their practical significance. Involving you in our projects provides the basis for architecturally, economically and technically optimal solutions in the following focal areas. 2.1 Conferences, meetings, videoconferencing, training Conference and meeting rooms, interpreters and discussion systems, projection and display systems for training and meeting rooms. Videoconferencing systems, conference studios, press conference and business TV... 2.2 Congresses and events Conference and functional rooms in accordance with the German venue regulations (VstättVO), camera transmission, links to broadcasting corporations, control rooms, image and sound engineering... 2

2.3 Electro-acoustic planning and simulation Planning and calculation of electro-acoustic systems with the aid of computer simulation. Coordinating room acoustic conditions with the room utilisation. Calculation of the acoustic characteristics and coordinating materials with architects and room acoustic specialists. 2.4 Stage equipment Stage lighting, trussing systems, stage boxes, lifting platforms, stage sound and event technology... 2.5 Room reservation, digital signage Room reservation systems, software applications, digital door plate systems and visitor guidance systems, hardware and software, structured network systems, connection to user databases. 3

2.6 Multimedia applications, museums, showrooms Network-based multimedia and information systems, hardware and software applications for museums, treasury halls, showrooms, foyers, etc., in-house broadcasting and streaming applications... 2.7 Control rooms, operation centres, VR systems, trading spaces Visualization and network technology for operation centres, control rooms and trading spaces, VR cave systems, news tickers, LED screens and LED ticker systems... 2.8 High-End private living, intelligent Home systems Integration and combination of multiroom systems and high end audio and- video systems with both central and local equipment, intelligent control systems, access control and building automation. 4

3 Product development and software design Hardware and software developments have formed an integral part of our service portfolio for 30 years. From the specifications to the finished product, our engineers and developers accompany every step. Renowned customers such as SENNHEISER, SONY, BEYERDYNAMIC and WILK- HAHN have used our experience, letting it flow into their technology. 3.1 Communication terminals, discussion systems, management software Discussion and conference facilities as order history, software applications for control and management tasks in multimedia and conference. 3.2 Electrification and cable management Cable management systems and electrification for highgrade conference and meeting tables, design, construction, sample and prototype construction. 3.3 Room reservation, POI and recording software Software applications for room reservation and management, interactive user interfaces, POI/POS software, database interfaces and control software. 5

4 Scope of services Whether product development, project consultation or individual engineering services, service structures are available for all areas, which guarantee quality and costs on agreed dates. 4.1 Service phases 1-9 of the HOAI Service phase 1 Basic evaluation Clarification of the task Consultation on the entire service requirement, formulation of decision aids for the selection of other parties professionally involved in the planning. Summary of findings Service phase 2 Preliminary planning Basic analysis. Coordination of objectives Preparation of a planning concept, including examination of the alternative solutions subject to the same requirements with graphic representation and evaluation, e.g., experimental graphic depictions, line sketches. Integration of the services of other parties professionally involved in the planning, cost estimation Service phase 3 Draft planning Processing of the planning concept Graphic representation of the overall draft Object description with explanation of cost calculation and cost control Service phase 4 Approval planning - generally not required 6

Service phase 5 Implementation planning Working through the results of the service phases 1-3 Implementation plans: detail and design drawings, incorporation of professional planning, update of the implementation planning during object execution Service phase 6 Preparation of award of contract Quantity determination as a basis for service specifications, establishing service specifications with service sheets according to service areas, arranging and coordinating the service specifications for all technical crews Service phase 7 Cooperation in award of contract Obtaining, reviewing and evaluating the bids, drawing up a price comparison, negotiating with bidders and cooperating in the award of contract. Cost estimate and cost control Service phase 8 Object monitoring Monitoring and coordinating the execution, compiling and updating a schedule, acceptance of the building work, establishing defects and monitoring their elimination, invoice verification and cost finding, cost control, handover of the object, listing of the warranty periods Service phase 9 Object support, documentation Assisting in the release of safety services, compilation of drawings and text documentation 7

4.2 Electro-acoustic planning and simulation Computer simulation of the room and electro-acoustic conditions, with the following service features: Entering the room parameters in a 3D grid model. Entering the space-delineating areas. Based on the calculations and material specifications provided by the room acoustic specialist. Simulation calculations for coordination with the specialist room-acoustic planning. Determining the expected reverberation times and the reverberation time pattern. Coordinating and optimising the room-acoustic measures in cooperation with the specialist room acoustic planning. Simulation calculation for determining the PA concept taking into account the draft of the planning by the room acoustic specialist and the different applications. Coordination of the loudspeaker positioning with the client and the architects. Optimisation of the PA concept. Coordination of the results of the calculations together with the architects and the client. Definition and dimensioning of the final solution. Compiling documentation as a model for the execution. Sections and floor plans on a scale of 1:100 or 1:50. Specifications for the execution by the electro-acoustic crew. 8
