User Manual BB-anywhere LOGIN PROCEDURE 1. Click the Start button, choose All Programs (right above the search box) and select BB-ANYWHERE from the Start menu: BB-anywhere in a nutshell Regardless whether you re at the office, at home or at the customer s, BBanywhere allows you to access your personal, work-related data and services (e.g. e-mail). Please note that a VPN connection to the Bilfinger Berger network may only be established with a BB certified device. If you are using a non-bb device with BB-anywhere, you may only access the BB Intranet. How do I get BBanywhere? The BB-anywhere order form may be downloaded from the Bilfinger Berger Form Database. In order to be able to use BBanywhere, you ll need a PIN. It will be provided by the Service Desk after your order has been processed. 2. A new browser window opens up and automatically navigates to the BB-anywhere login page (URL: http://login.bilfinger.net): Please provide your credentials as follows: Username Windows Username Password PIN Windows Password Enter your 4-digit PIN code provided by the Service Desk. Use the numeric keypad on the right to enter digits. Note: Users of domains other than bb.bbmsg are required to provide the name of their domain in addition to the username. 3. Confirm your entry by clicking Sign In. After your credentials have been validated successfully, the BB-anywhere welcome screen appears. The login process is thereby completed: If you re using a BB certified computer, the client software Network Connect will automatically be executed and establish a connection to the Bilfinger Berger network. A status window will show up and inform you about the status of your connection. 4. In case you need network mapped drives (e.g. your home or group drive), you may connect those using the first link ( Netzlaufwerke verbinden ) on the welcome screen. After clicking the link, you ll be asked to download the file drivemap.cmd. Choose Run to connect you network drives. Depending on your internet connection, this may take a while. FIRST USE OF BB-ANYWHERE Before VPN connections to the Bilfinger Berger network can be established, BB-anywhere needs to install the client software Network Connect on your computer first. In order to do so, please perform the following steps during your first login to BB-anywhere: 1. After logging in for the first time, the installation routine of the client software is automatically executed: 2. Confirm the installation by clicking Immer (=always) or Ja (=yes). By choosing Immer, you ensure that future updates of the client software are installed automatically: Page 4/6 As of 12-2011
3. The client software Network Connect will now be installed on your computer. Depending on your internet connection, this may take a while: 4. When the installation is completed, Network Connect will automatically establish a VPN connection to the Bilfinger Berger network. The time it takes to connect your computer depends on your internet connection: After the connection has been established successfully, you may access your personal data and use internal services (e.g. e-mail) the same way you would while being in the office. From now on, Network Connect will be executed automatically when logging in to BB-anywhere. It is not necessary to perform the installation again. Page 5/6 As of 12-2011
