1 Installation Instructions 1.1 6in1 SCM drive in the d-lab.2/3, RP30 and SRP30 main computer 1.1.1 Note Order no.: 10+9.8060.9067.0 for d-lab2/3 ABC-Code YM7CY These instructions apply to the main computer with the built-in triple or 5in1 drive: This means that one of the following Mainboards is present: 845 Pro 2 C (with Pentium VI CPU) or K7T Turbo (with AMD Duron CPU) Undo the screws on both sides of the triple drive (4x). Slacken the screws of the ZIP drive slightly for better removal (friction). Remove the triple drive from the front. Insert the new drive and fasten its screws. Remove the flat cable to the removed Controller board (it is no longer needed). Fasten the drive module again. Connect the cables again on the module. For the power supply of the 6in1 drive another power plug may be required: Use an available connection plug at the power supply. If it is necessary to make a connection available remove the power supply module. Connect the adapter cable of the retrofitting kit on the drive (Mini USB): The cable to be used depends on the GA-8GE800 Pro Mainboard, see 2 Boards GA-8IG1000 Pro Attention! The plug receptacle on the drive is quite sensitive to pressure applied from the sides! In case of pressure, the reinforcement on the cable has a lever effect. Attention: Main condition for the HW installation is the loading of the Installation-CD Version 2.02, which is included in this kit. It includes all the necessary drivers. Installation of this CD is described in LTN 20040914091903. The drive already includes write protection for the media. 1.2 Installation Caution When working on the opened main computer wear a wrist strap! Remove the main computer from the d-lab and open the computer. Remove the VIPS board (more room reduces the risk of damage to other parts). Remove the Controller board of the triple drive (it is no longer needed). Not applicable for 5in1 drive. Unplug the connection on the drive module, unthread the power cable from the cable clips (normally it is sufficient to unplug the ZIP power connector). Remove the drive module completely (fold it out): Undo the fastening screw of the drive module (1x), and disengage the complete module. Insert the VIPS board, position the cables correctly. Mount the enclosed slot cover (only necessary if a triple drive was installed before / cover is important for correct cooling conditions in the PC) Close the main computer and put it back into the d-lab.
1.3 Configuration Start the d-lab and use the Watchdog to change to Windows Explorer. Check the drive allocation: This applies to image box and all d-labs in the same way. The drive letters should be allocated to the slots as follows: See Drive letters 1.3.1 Drive letters Floppy disk drive Hard disk 1 st partition Hard disk 2 nd partition CD ROM ZIP drive : A : C : D : E : F PCMCIA Slot 1 : G Compact Flash Slot 2 : H Smart Media Slot 3 : I Memory Stick Slot 4 : J SD / MMC Slot 5 : K XD Slot 6 : L Reserved Slot 7 : M Any other sequence (depending on system) must either be changed by using the tool "Drive Check and Resort" or manually: Drive Check and Resort Go to Windows Explorer and execute the file Drive Check and Resort in Desktop\Agfa Service Tools. The drives will be sorted automatically. Manual Select My Computer in the Windows Explorer and then select Control Panel. Select Administrative Tools and then Computer Management. Open the Disk Management directory under Storage.. Drives J and K are not supported by software versions up through Version 7.5U. Drive M has been reserved for possible extension.
Insert the media one by one to check the drive letters allocated by the system: Call up Action / Refresh Right-click the detected drive field, select Change Drive Letter and Path, then Edit, and define the required drive letter. As only the free drive letters are displayed move the drive temporarily to a free letter if necessary. Enter the respective letters: See 1.3.1. Drive letters Test the drives via the GUI of the d-lab.

1 Einbauanleitung 1.1 6-fach SCM-Laufwerk in den Hauptrechner des d-lab.2/3, RP30 und SRP30 1.1.1 Hinweise Best.nr: 10+9.8060.9067.0 für d-lab2/3 ABC-Code YM7CY Die Anleitung gilt für Hauptrechner mit eingebautem Triple Drive oder 5-fach-Laufwerk: Daran ist erkennbar, dass eines der folgenden Mainboards vorhanden ist: 845 Pro 2 C (mit Pentium VI CPU) oder K7T Turbo (mit AMD Duron CPU) Schrauben des ZIP-Laufwerks zur besseren Entnahme (Reibung) nur lockern Triple-Drive nach vorn entnehmen Neues Laufwerk einsetzen und festschrauben Bandkabel zur entnommenen Kontrollerkarte entfernen (wird nicht mehr benötigt) Laufwerksschacht wieder befestigen Kabelverbindungen am Schacht wieder herstellen. Zur Spannungsversorgung des 6-fach Laufwerks wird gegebenenfalls ein anderer Spannungsstecker benötigt: Einen freien Anschlussstecker vom Netzteil nutzen Falls ein Anschluss freigelegt werden muss, Netzteilschacht ausbauen Adapterkabel des Nachrüstkits an das Laufwerk (Mini USB) anschließen: Das zu nutzende Kabel ist abhängig vom GA-8GE800 Pro Mainboard, siehe 2 Boards GA-8IG1000 Pro Achtung! Die Steckeraufnahme am Laufwerk ist äußerst empfindlich gegen seitliche Achtung: Grundvoraussetzung für den Einbau ist das Aufspielen der Installations-CD Version 2.02, die diesem Kit beigelegt ist. Sie enthält alle notwendigen Treiber. Das Aufspielen dieser CD ist in der LTN 20040914091903 beschrieben. Das Laufwerk ist bereits mit Schreibschutz auf die Medien versehen. Belastung! Die Versteifung am Kabel wirkt bei Belastung wie ein Hebel. VIPS-Karte einsetzen, Kabelverlegung ordnen Beiliegendes Slotblech (nur wenn vorher Triple Drive) montieren (wichtig für Kühlhaushalt im PC) Hauptrechner schließen und in das d-lab einbauen 1.2 Einbau Vorsicht Bei Arbeiten am offenen Hauptrechner: Erdungsband tragen. Hauptrechner aus dem d-lab ausbauen und Hauptrechner öffnen VIPS-Karte entnehmen (größerer Freiraum vermindert die Gefahr, Teile zu beschädigen) Triple-Drive Kontrollerkarte ausbauen (wird nicht mehr benötigt). Entfällt bei 5-fach Laufwerk. Anschlussstecker am Laufwerksschacht abziehen, Spannungskabel aus Schellen lösen (es genügt im Normalfall, den Spannungsstecker ZIP abzuziehen) Laufwerksschacht komplett entnehmen (ausklappen): Befestigungsschraube des Laufwerksschachts (1x) lösen, kompletten Schacht ausrasten Schrauben auf beiden Seiten des Triple- Drives (4x) lösen
1.3 Konfiguration d-lab starten und mittels Watchdog in den Windows Explorer wechseln Laufwerkszuordnung prüfen: Sie gilt gleichermaßen für image box und alle d- labs. Die Laufwerksbuchstaben sollen den Schächten wie folgt zugeordnet sein: siehe Laufwerksbuchstaben 1.3.1 Laufwerksbuchstaben Disketten-Laufwerk Festplatte 1. Partition Festplatte 2. Partition CD-ROM ZIP-Laufwerk : A : C : D : E : F PCMCIA Slot 1 : G Compact Flash Slot 2 : H Smart Media Slot 3 : I Memory Stick Slot 4 : J SD / MMC Slot 5 : K XD Slot 6 : L Reserviert Slot 7 : M Eine andere Reihenfolge (systemabhängig) muss durch Nutzung des Tools "Drive Check and Resort" oder manuell geändert werden: Drive Check and Resort im Windows Explorer unter Desktop\Agfa Service Tools die Datei Drive Check and Resort ausführen. Die Laufwerke werden automatisch sortiert. Manuell im Windows-Explorer unter My Computer das Control Panel anwählen unter Administrative Tools in das Computer Management verzweigen unter Storage das Verzeichnis Disk Management öffnen.. Laufwerk J und K werden von der Software bis einschließlich Version 7.5U nicht unterstützt. Laufwerk M ist für eine mögliche Erweiterung reserviert.
