7 Definition von Talsperren Definition nach DIN , Juni 2001: Talsperren sind Stauanlagen, die über den Querschnitt des gestauten Wasserlaufes hinaus den Talquerschnitt abriegeln. 75 Integrity Assessment of Large Concrete Dams Verbund Research Forum, Vienna 25 th April, 2005 Background Before its privatisation, ENEL Spa was responsible of about 300 dams in Italy. 87 out of them are located in seismic areas (46 gravity, 21 arch, 17 embankments and 3 multiple arches) Few years ago ENEL started a program for the seismic safety reassessment of its dams located in seismic areas 2
