2 23rd German Logistics-Congress People Networks Technologies The dynamic trend towards global competition calls for solutions and instruments that make business activities based on the division of labour more efficient. Logistics is a strategic instrument in the management of worldwide supply chains, but it also plays a key role in individual value-adding processes and directly impacts both company earnings and corporate value. Selection of key-note speakers Combined production concepts in complex networks enable companies to offer their goods at competitive prices and therefore profit from global market growth without abandoning value-adding operations in high-wage countries. The interaction of companies in value added networks calls for intelligent communication and coordination, outstanding employee performance levels and a well-developed infrastructure in order to reliably ensure the necessary mobility of people and goods. In line with this year s motto of People Networks Technologies, the annual conference staged by Bundesvereinigung Logistik focuses not only on successful stand-alone formulas but also on ways in which individual strategies can be integrated to underpin competitiveness.
