5 Hochelastische RATO R+ Kupplungen Die RATO R+ Kupplung ist speziell für die Anwendung in Antriebsanlagen mit der Forderung nach hoher Drehnachgiebigkeit, guten Verlagerungseigenschaften und möglichst geringen rotierenden Massen entwickelt worden. Die Anwendungen liegen somit vorrangig im Bereich schnelllaufender Haupt- und Nebenantrieber seien es diesel- oder elektromotorische. Damit kommt VULKAN Couplings dem sich weltweit durchsetzenden Trend zu immer leistungsstärkeren und höher drehenden Motoren entgegen. In den Drehmomentbereichen oberhalb des SAE-Bereiches, die ein Handhaben und den Einbau von ringförmigen Elementen ohne Verschieben der angeschlossenen Anlagenkomponenten gestatten, stellt die RATO R+ Kupplung die bevorzugte Wahl dar. Durch die Auswahl der zur Verfügung stehenden Drehsteifigkeiten bzw. Elementausführungen lässt sich eine gute Drehschwingungsabstimmung der Antriebsanlage durchführen. Die Nachgiebigkeit der RATO R+ Kupplung in radialer, axialer und winkliger Richtung bei kürzest möglicher Baulänge sorgt für einen günstigen Ausgleich der Wellenverlagerungen bei elastischer Motoraufstellung, Fundamentveränderungen oder anderen betriebsbedingten Verlagerungen. Bei der Produktweiterentwicklung zur RATO R+ wurde das Augenmerk vor allem auf das funktionale Herzstück der Kupplung gelegt: das Elastomer. Innovative Compound-Forschung und hochspezialisierte Vulkanisationstechnologie ermöglichten die Entwicklung eines Elastomers mit wesentlich höherer Leistungsdichte. Das ACOTEC- Compound zeichnet sich gegenüber herkömmlich eingesetzten Werkstoffen nicht nur durch eine erhöhte Zug- und Reißfestigkeit und erhöhte Reißdehnung aus, sondern auch durch eine hohe thermische Beständigkeit und geringere Alterungseffekte. Zudem geht mit den neuen ACOTEC Kupplungen ein nicht unerheblicher kommerzieller Vorteil einher, da bei identischen Leistungsanforderungen eine kleinere RATO R+ Kupplung statt der bislang verwendeten Standard RATO R eingesetzt werden kann. Ein weiterer entscheidender Produktvorteil der RATO R+ ist ihre hohe Integrierbarkeit. Die Hauptkomponenten dieser Kupplung dienen als Basis für verschiedene Sonderausführungen wie zum Beispiel kardanische Kupplungen oder Ausführungen in Kombination mit Composite-Wellensystemen. Highly Flexible RATO R+ Couplings The RATO R+ coupling has been specially designed for the use in installations requiring a high level of torsional flexibility and misalignment capacity. Inherent features of the design include high thermal load capacity and misalignment capacity as well as low rotating inertias. The area of application is primarily highspeed main/pto systems driven by a diesel engine or electric motor. With this development VULKAN Couplings is falling in line with the latest trend worldwide toward increasingly more powerful engines operating at higher speeds. Above the SAE torque range where the handling and installation of a complete element without disassembling the connected drive system components is practical the RATO R+ is the preferred alternative. A customized tuning of the system s torsional vibration characteristics is possible due to the variety of torsional stiffnesses and element configurations available. The radial, axial and angular flexibility of the RATO R+ coupling, with the shortest possible installation length, enables good compensation of shaft misalignments caused by the flexible mounting of the prime mover, foundation movements and misalignments due to operation. The development of the new RATO R+ was primarily focused on the centrepiece of the coupling: the elastomer. Innovative research on compounds and highly specialised vulcanisation technology facilitated the development of an elastomer with considerably higher power density. The ACOTEC compound characterises itself in comparison to other conventionally used materials not only with the enhanced tensile strength, tear strength and increased ultimate elongation, but also with a high thermal resistance and lesser ageing effects. In addition, the RATO R+ has yet another significant commercial benefit since a small size coupling may be used for the same power requirements. Another decisive product advantage of the RATO R+ is the great level of ease with which it can be integrated in different drive solutions: The main components of this coupling serve as the basis for different special designs such as, for example, Cardan shaft couplings or composite shaft systems. This is where VULKAN Couplings demonstrates its strength as a solution provider. The RATO R+ has been certified by all leading international classification agencies. Bei mehrreihigen Kupplungen müssen bei der Durchführung einer Drehschwingungsanalyse der Anlage die individuellen Massenträgheitsmomente der Kupplung und die dynamischen Drehfedersteifen der einzelnen Elemente berücksichtigt werden. Durch die Eigenschaft des Werkstoffs Naturkautschuk sind Toleranzen der aufgeführten Daten für C Tdyn von ± 15% möglich. 3) Bedingt durch die physikalischen Eigenschaften der elastischen Elemente sind Toleranzen der aufgeführten Daten für ψ, von 0 % bis -30% für die M, H Elemente bzw., von 0 % bis -45% für die S Elemente möglich.
