21 No worries! They are aiming at a different area of education: Continuous education Professional, postgraduate education Vocational education Units smaller than degree programs Employees who might not have an ICT education 21

22 Why we should be concerned We are in the business of educating ICT professionals The e-competence framework includes layers 6-8 of the EQF: bachelor, master, PhD Universities may be forced to recognize those educational offers as part of their curricula The professional profiles defined are about to become a European standard We should not leave this area of ICT education to companies and business schools 22
