2 2 Steckvorrichtungen für ElektroFlurförderzeuge weltweit Plug and socket connectors for electricallyoperated trucks worlwide Der europäische Wirtschaftsraum gewinnt zunehmend an Bedeutung. Entsprechend werden die Anforderungen für alle weltweit in Verkehr gebrachten Produkte in rechtsverbindlichen Europäischen Richtlinien festgelegt. Für die Hersteller von elektrischen Flurförderzeugen gilt deshalb: Flurförderzeuge unterliegen den Bestimmungen der Maschinenrichtlinie 89/392/EWG. Entsprechend gilt: Konformitätserklärung und CEZeichen sind für alle Flurförderzeuge seit dem 1. Januar 1995 verpflichtend. Eine unabdingbare Voraussetzung ist: Auch alle Einzelkomponenten eines Flurförderzeugs müssen den Anforderungen der Europäischen Richtlinien genügen. Im Falle der Steckverbindungen werden die entsprechenden Vorgaben in der Niederspannungsrichtlinie 73/23/EWG und deren Ergänzungen gemacht. Hier wird u. a. festgelegt, daß seit Beginn des Jahres 1997 eine Konformitätserklärung vom Hersteller ausgestellt und ein CEZeichen angebracht werden muß. Die Konformität mit den Europäischen Richtlinien ist automatisch dann gegeben, wenn die Produkte harmonisierten Europäischen Normen entsprechen. Eine Vorstufe dazu ist die Europäische Norm EN (identisch mit der nationalen Norm DIN VDE 0117 Teil 1), dem die Steckverbindungen des Hauses REMA entsprechen. Weitergehende Vorgaben zur Schaffung eines genau definierten Europäischen Einheitssystems gibt die Norm DIN Teil 1. Sie definiert einen de facto Standard gültig in ganz Europa. Dieser Norm genügen die REMA DIN Stecker. Entsprechend tragen alle Steckverbindungen des Hauses REMA das vorgeschriebene CEKonformitätszeichen. Fazit: Bei Verwendung von REMA Steckverbindungen sind unsere Kunden hinsichtlich der Europäischen Gesetzesvorgaben immer auf der sicheren Seite The European Single Market is becoming more and more important. One step in this process is the developement of binding worldwide regulations for all manufacturers. Thus in Europe, for example, the manufacturers of electricallyoperated industrial trucks need to bear the following points in mind: Industrial trucks have to comply with the requirements of the European machinery directive 89/392/EEC. This requires that since January 1995 all industrial trucks must have a declaration of conformity and carry the CE mark. All components must be in accordance with the european regulations as well. In the case of plugs and sockets the corresponding requirements are given in the European lowvoltage directive 73/23/EEC and its additions. Here is stated, that since January 1st 1997 these parts must show the CEmark and a declaration of conformity. A product is automatically in accordance with the European regulations if it agrees with the so called Harmonized European Standards. A precursor of these standards is the European Standard EN (identical with DIN VDE 01171). The plugs and sockets from REMA already conform to this standard. Further requirements for building a more detailed harmonized system in Europe are given in the German Standard DIN Here a de facto Europewide Standard is defined. The REMA DIN connectors are in accordance with this standard. Thus the REMA connectors show the CEmark. Conclusion: Our customers are always in accordance with the EUROPEAN regulations because they are using REMA connectors.

This existing know how was recently transferred on the crimp connection of our connectors with highly flexible cable by the development of special WMform crimp shapes. Eine Verwechslung der Anschlüsse (NaßLadegerät an Trockenbatterie oder umgekehrt) kann im Extremfall zur Zerstörung der Batterie führen. Trotzdem erlaubt die Verwendung des naß/trocken Kodierstifts mit speziell abgeschrägter Flanke die Verbindung des Elektromotors mit beiden Arten von Batterien. Denn für den Elektromotor ist es nicht von Bedeutung, mit welcher Art von Batterie er betrieben wird. Dieses System kann individuell auf 6 verschiedene Betriebsspannungen von 24V 96V eingestellt werden. Dazu wird der Einbau des sechseckigen Kodierstifts einfach so vorgenommen, daß der gewünschte Spannungswert im Sichtfenster des Steckergehäuses erscheint. Mit Hilfe dieser von der Firma REMA geschützten Lösung, die jedoch den deutschen Steckerherstellern in Lizenz freigegeben wurde, genügen unsere Steckverbindungen auf einfache Weise allen Anforderungen der alltäglichen Praxis. A mismatch between battery and charger (e. g. a wet battery to a dry charger or vice versa) can result in the destruction of the battery. To help prevent a mismatch REMA has developed a special coding system where only matching batteries and chargers can be connected. Nevertheless the usage of the wet/dry coding pin allows the connection between the electric motor and both types of batteries. For the motors, no difference between the wet and dry batteries exists. This sytem can be set for six different voltages ranging from 24V 96V. The hexagonal coding pin shows these differnt voltages on each side. When assembling the plugs and sockets the correct voltage is chosen by turning the coding pin, so that the required voltage number appears in a window of the housing. With the help of this registered design, licensed to the other German plug manufacturers, the plugs and sockets from REMA are particularly suitable for the requirements of daily use.
