1 CHECKLISTE AFS-Kurzzeitprogramm Folgende Unterlagen gehören zu deiner Bewerbung und müssen bis zum jeweiligen für das Länderprogramm angegebenen Bewerbungsschluss an das AFS Regionalbüro Süd in Stuttgart geschickt werden (Es zählt das Datum des Poststempels). Spätere Bewerbungen können leider nicht berücksichtigt werden. Vom Bewerber auszufüllen: Deckblatt mit aufgeklebtem Portraitfoto Personal Information. Sollte noch kein Reisepass vorliegen, muss bei einem Aufenthalt außerhalb der Europäischen Union baldmöglichst einer beantragt werden; die Angaben müssen dann nachgereicht werden. Von den Eltern auszufüllen: Parental Authorization. Unterschriften nicht vergessen! Parents Statement Host Family Application Host Family Placement Information Vom Arzt auszufüllen: Health Certificate [Formulare 3a + 3b]. Kann nachgereicht werden. Von der Schule auszufüllen: School Recommendation. Kann nachgereicht werden. Da es sich um ein vertrauliches Schulgutachten handelt, muss der Lehrer das Formular und die Einschätzung direkt an das AFS Regionalbüro Süd in Stuttgart schicken. Anhang bitte beifügen: Kopie deines letzten Zeugnisses Einzahlungsbeleg Bewerbungsgebühr. Kontonummer siehe unter: Hinweise zum Ausfüllen der Bewerbungsunterlagen. Die Bewerbung bitte nicht lochen oder zusammenheften, sondern als lose Blätter in der angegebenen Reihenfolge in den Umschlag legen! (Ausnahmen: Health Certificate kann ggf. nachgereicht werden und School Recommendation ist von der Schule direkt an AFS zu schicken.) 6 Personal Statement 1. Please identify for your host family your major interest and activities. Bitte beschreibe deiner Gastfamilie auf Englisch ausführlich deine Interessen, Freizeitaktivitäten und Hobbies! Wie oft gehst du ihnen nach? 2. Letter To Host Family. Hier kannst du dich deiner zukünftigen Gastfamilie in einem Brief vorstellen. Genauso wie du neugierig bist auf deine Gastfamilie, ist sie neugierig auf dich! Du solltest versuchen dich in deinem jetzigen Umfeld zu beschreiben. Die Fragen an der Seite können dir dabei als Orientierung dienen. Denk daran, dass dies der erste Eindruck deiner Persönlichkeit ist, den die Gastfamilie erhält! Dein Brief sollte ca. 2 Seiten lang und auf Englisch verfasst sein! Ein Dankeschön an die Familie, dass sie jemanden aufnehmen möchten, ist sicherlich nicht verkehrt, schließlich öffnen sie ihr Zuhause einem Fremden : 1. Wie würden deine Freunde oder Familie dich beschreiben? 2. Wie würdest du die Beziehung zu deinen Eltern und Freunden beschreiben? Bist du anders als deine Geschwister? Wie ist deine Rolle in deiner Familie? In was für Situationen bittest du deine Eltern um Hilfe? 3. Beschreibe deine Interessen und Aktivitäten und wie häufig du ihnen nachgehst! 4. Beschreibe deine Rolle außerhalb der Familie (Schule, Jugendgruppen, Vereinen, etc.)! Was ist dir im Verhältnis zu anderen wichtig? 5. Warum hast du dich für ein AFS Austauschprogramm beworben? Welche persönlichen Ziele verbindest du mit dem Programm? 6. Was in deinem Alltag empfindest du als schwierig? 7. Beschreibe eine herausfordernde Situation, der du in deinem Leben begegnet bist. Unabhängig davon, ob du Erfolg damit hattest oder nicht, wie bist du mit dieser Herausforderung umgegangen? 8. Welche Zukunftspläne hast du (z.b. Ausbildung, Beruf, Interessen)? 8 Program Preference Information Fülle bitte aus, an welchem Länderprogramm du teilnehmen möchtest. Wähle dazu bitte maximal 3 Länderprogramme aus. Diese kannst du in deiner bevorzugten Rangfolge anordnen - das Programm, an dem du am liebsten teilnehmen möchtest, sollte ganz oben stehen. Wir versuchen immer, dir zuerst einen Platz in deinem "Lieblingsprogramm" zu vermitteln. Country Preference:

9 Photo Page To help you introduce yourself to a host family, assemble a small collection of photographs showing you, your family and friends. Be creative! Place the photos, with a short phrase to describe the photo, on a single sheet of paper (either A4 or 8 ½ x 11 inch). Print your name and your country of origin on the Photo Page and on the back of each photo. If possible, make a color copy of this page, this will make it easier for AFS to send overseas and you can keep the original
