2 Deutsch Vorwort Diese Betriebsanleitung ist von jedem Bediener vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme sorgfältig zu lesen. Sie soll helfen das Produkt kennenzulernen und dessen bestimmungsgemässe Einsatzmöglichkeiten zu nutzen. Die Betriebsanleitung enthält wichtige Hinweise um das Produkt sicher, sachgerecht und wirtschaftlich zu betreiben. Ihre Beachtung hilft Gefahren zu vermeiden, Reparaturkosten und Ausfallzeiten zu vermindern und die Zuverlässigkeit und Lebensdauer des Produktes zu erhöhen. Diese Betriebsanleitung muss ständig am Einsatzort des Produktes verfügbar sein. Neben der Betriebsanleitung und den im Verwenderland und an der Einsatzstelle geltenden verbindlichen Regelungen zur Unfallverhütungsvorschrift sind auch die anerkannten Regeln für sicherheits- und fachgerechtes Arbeiten zu beachten. Der Betreiber ist für die sach- und fachgerechte Unterweisung des Bedienpersonals verantwortlich. Bestimmungsgemässe Verwendung - Das Lastaufnahmemittel dient zum horizontalen und vertikalen Heben, Wenden und Ziehen von Blechen, Trägern und Stahlkonstruktionen bis zum auf dem Typenschild angegebenen Greifbereich. - Die Lastaufnahmemittel sind für alle Hebegüter aus Stahl geeignet, auf die sie sich bis zum Maulanschlag aufschieben lassen und deren Oberflächenhärte bis HRC 50 liegt. Die Gewindespindel ist dabei handfest anzuziehen. - Die auf dem Gerät angegebene Tragfähigkeit (WLL) ist die maximale Last, die angeschlagen werden darf. - Der Aufenthalt unter einer angehobenen Last ist verboten. - Lasten nicht über längere Zeit oder unbeaufsichtigt in angehobenem oder gespanntem Zustand belassen. - Der Bediener darf eine Lastbewegung erst dann einleiten, wenn er sich davon überzeugt hat, dass die Last richtig angeschlagen ist. 2 D Seite 2 Page 3 D - Beim Einhängen des Lastaufnahmemittels ist vom Bediener darauf zu achten, dass das Lastaufnahmemittel so bedient werden kann, dass der Bediener weder durch das Gerät selbst noch durch das Tragmittel oder die Last gefährdet wird. - Vor dem Einsatz des Lastaufnahmemittels in besonderen Atmosphären (hohe Feuchtigkeit, salzig, ätzend, basisch) oder der Handhabung gefährlicher Güter (z.b. feuerflüssige Massen, radioaktive Materialien) ist mit dem Hersteller Rücksprache zu halten. - Die Lastaufnahmemittel können in einer Umgebungstemperatur zwischen 40 C und +100 C arbeiten. Bei Extrembedingungen sollte mit dem Hersteller Rücksprache genommen werden. - Sollten längere Bleche oder Profile transportiert werden, empfiehlt sich zur Vermeidung von Pendelbewegungen die Verwendung von zwei Lastaufnahmemitteln. Die Lastaufnahmemittel können in Verbindung mit einer Traverse zur Anwendung kommen. - Der Transport des Hebegutes sollte immer langsam und vorsichtig durchgeführt werden. - Es dürfen nur Kranhaken mit Sicherungsfalle verwendet werden. - Die Aufhängeöse des Lastaufnahmemittels muss im Kranhaken genügend Platz haben und frei beweglich sein. - Bei Funktionsstörungen ist das Lastaufnahmemittel sofort außer Betrieb zu setzen. Sachwidrige Verwendung - Die Tragfähigkeit (W L L) darf nicht überschritten werden. - Es darf nur Hebegut im angegebenen Greifbereich aufgenommen werden. - An dem Lastaufnahmemittel dürfen keine Veränderungen durchgeführt werden. - Die Benutzung des Lastaufnahmemittels zum Transport von Personen ist verboten. - Beim Transport der Last ist eine Pendelbewegung (Fig. 1) und das Anstoßen an Hindernisse zu vermeiden. - Mit dem Lastaufnahmemittel darf jeweils nur eine Blechtafel transportiert werden (Fig. 2). - Das Hebegut muss immer bis zum Maulanschlag durchgeschoben werden (Fig. 3). - Das Lastaufnahmemittel darf nicht verkantet zum Hebegut angesetzt werden (Fig. 4). - Die Belastung des Lastaufnahmemittels mit seitlichen Zugkräften ist verboten. - Lastaufnahmemittel nicht aus großer Höhe fallen lassen. - Das Gerät darf nicht in explosionsfähiger Atmosphäre eingesetzt werden. Prüfung vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme ist das Gerät einer Prüfung durch eine befähigte Person zu unterziehen. Diese Prüfung besteht im Wesentlichen aus einer Sicht- und Funktionsprüfung. Diese Prüfungen sollen sicherstellen, dass sich das Lastaufnahmemittel in einem sicheren Zustand befindet und gegebenenfalls Mängel bzw. Schäden festgestellt und behoben werden. Als befähigte Personen können z.b. die Wartungsmonteure des Herstellers oder Lieferanten angesehen werden. Der Unternehmer kann aber auch entsprechend ausgebildetes Fachpersonal des eigenen Betriebes mit der Prüfung beauftragen. Prüfung vor Arbeitsbeginn - Es ist darauf zu achten, dass die Oberflächen des Hebegutes, wo das Lastaufnahmemittel angeschlagen wird, möglichst fett-, farb-, schmutz-, zunder- und beschichtungsfrei sind, so das der Kontakt der Spindel und des Klemmtellers zum Hebegut nicht behindert wird. - Gewindespindel und Klemmteller (Fig. 5) auf Verschleiß und Mängel prüfen. Beide Bauteile müssen ein sauberes Profil besitzen. - Das gesamte Lastaufnahmemittel ist auf Beschädigungen, Risse oder Verformungen hin zu überprüfen. - Das Lastaufnahmemittel muss sich leichtgängig öffnen und schließen lassen. - Die Anschlagketten müssen regelmäßig gem. DIN geprüft werden. Insbesondere bei einem Verschleiß von mehr als 10% der Nenndicke der Glieder müssen sie erneuert werden. - Anschlagseile müssen regelmäßig gemäß DIN geprüft werden. Dabei ist besonders auf Knicke und Beschädigungen zu achten. Gebrauch des Lastaufnahmemittels Mit weit geöffneter Spindelstellung ist das Lastaufnahmemittel mit seinem Maul bis zum Anschlag auf das Hebegut zu schieben und die Gewindespindel (Fig. 5) ist handfest anzuziehen. Dabei darf die Klemme nicht verkantet zum Hebegut angesetzt werden. Mit Beginn des Kranzuges stellt sich durch die schwenkbar gelagerte Palle eine Verkantung ein, die eine hohe Klemmung bewirkt. Um das Lastaufnahmemittel vom Hebegut zu entfernen, das Tragemittel soweit herunter fahren, dass das Lastaufnahmemittel entlastet bzw. der Schäkel frei beweglich ist. Die Gewindespindel muss frei beweglich zu öffnen sein.

3 Prüfung / Wartung Die Prüfung ist vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme und mindestens einmal jährlich von einer befähigten Person vorzunehmen. Bei schweren Einsatzbedingungen muss die Prüfung in kürzeren Abständen erfolgen. Die Prüfungen sind im Wesentlichen Sicht- und Funktionsprüfungen, wobei der Zustand von Bauteilen hinsichtlich Beschädigung, Verschleiß, Korrosion oder sonstigen Veränderungen beurteilt, sowie die Vollständigkeit und Wirksamkeit der Sicherheitseinrichtungen festgestellt werden muss. Die Instandsetzung oder der Austausch von verschlissenen Bauteilen ist unbedingt erforderlich, wenn sichtbare Schäden vorliegen. Bei Verschleiß der Kugel bzw. der Kugelpfanne darf die Schraubklemme nicht mehr zum Einsatz kommen. Die Überprüfung des Verschleißes erfolgt, indem der Klemmteller bis zum Anschlag in das Gehäuse gedrückt und mit kreisenden Bewegungen des Klemmtellers auf ruhige leichte Kugelbewegung getestet wird. Für den Betrieb und die Instandhaltung gilt die Unfallverhütungsvorschrift Lastaufnahmeeinrichtungen im Hebezeugbetrieb (BGR 500). Reparaturen dürfen nur von Fachwerkstätten, die Orginal TIGRIP Ersatzteile verwenden, durchgeführt werden. Die Prüfungen sind vom Betreiber zu veranlassen. English Introduction All users must read these operating instructions carefully prior to the initial operation. These instructions are intended to acquaint the user with the product and enable him to use it to the full extent of its intended capabilities. The operating instructions contain important information on how to handle the product in a safe, correct and economic way. Acting in accordance with these instructions, helps to avoid accidents, reduce repair costs and downtime and to increase the reliability and lifetime of the product. The operating instructions and the accident prevention act is valid for the respective country and area where the product is used. And also the commonly accepted regulations for safe and professional work must be adhered to. The user is responsible for the proper and professional instruction of the operating personnel. Correct operation - The load lifting attachment is used for horizontal and vertical lifting, turning and pulling of sheet metal plates, beams and steel structures within the jaw capacity range specified on the identity plate. - The load lifting attachments are suitable for all metal loads that can be fully entered into the mouth of the clamp and have a surface hardness up to HRC 50. The thread spindle must be tightened by hand for this process. - The capacity indicated on the unit is the maximum working load limit (W L L) that may be attached. - Do not allow personnel to pass under a suspended load. - A load must not be suspended or clamped or left unattended for a long period of time. - The operator must not move the load until he is convinced that the load has been correctly attached. - When suspending the load lifting attachment, the operator must ensure that the load lifting attachment can be operated in such a way that neither the device itself, the slings nor the load pose a danger to himself or other personnel. - Prior to operation of the load lifting attachment in special atmospheres (high humidity, salty, caustic, alkaline) or handling hazardous goods (e.g. molten compounds, radioactive materials), consult the manufacturer. - The load lifting attachment may only be used at ambient temperatures between -40 C and +100 C. For extreme temperatures exceeding this range, please contact the manufacturer. - If longer sheets of metal or profiles are to be transported, we recommend that two load lifting attachments be used to prevent swinging of the load. The load lifting attachments can be used in combination with a spreader beam. - Always transport the load slowly and carefully. - Only use crane hooks with safety latch. - The suspension eye of the load lifting attachment must have sufficient space in the crane hook and be freely articulating. - In the event of malfunctions, stop using the load lifting attachment immediately. Incorrect operation - Do not exceed the rated lifting capacity (WLL). - Only loads withín the jaw capacity range must be lifted. - Do not tamper with the load lifting attachment. - It is forbidden to use the load lifting attachment for transporting personnel. - When transporting loads ensure that the load does not swing or come into contact with other objects (see Fig. 1). - Only one sheet metal plate may be transported at a time (Fig. 2). - Always insert the load fully into the mouth of the clamp (Fig. 3). - The load lifting attachment must not be applied in a skewed position with reference to the load to be lifted (Fig. 4). - It is forbidden to apply side-pull forces to the load lifting attachment. - Do not allow the device to fall from a great height. - The unit must not be operated in potentially explosive atmospheres. Inspection prior to initial operation Each unit must be inspected prior to initial operation by a competent person. The inspection mainly consists of a visual inspection and a function check. These inspections are intended to establish that the load lifting attachment is in a safe condition and that any defects or damage are detected and eliminated, as required. Competent persons may be, for example, the maintenance engineers of the manufacturer or the supplier. However, the company may also assign performance of the inspection to its own appropriately trained specialist personnel. 3

4 Inspections before starting work - Ensure that, where the load lifting attachment is to be applied, the surface of the load to be lifted is free from grease, paint, contamination and scale and is not coated, so that the threaded spindle and the pivoting pad can make good contact with the surface of the load. - Check the thread spindle and the pad (Fig. 5) for wear and defects. Both parts must have clean profiles. - Check the complete load lifting attachment for damage, cracks or deformations. - The load lifting attachment must open and close easily and freely. - The chain slings must be inspected at regular intervals in accordance with DIN They must be replaced in the event of wear exceeding 10 % of the nominal thickness of the links. - Rope slings must be inspected at regular intervals in accordance with DIN They must be checked in particular for kinks and damage. The screw clamp must no longer be used if the ball or the ball socket are worn. The device is checked for wear by pressing the pivoting pad into the cover up to the stop and testing it for smooth and even movement of the ball by moving the pivoting pad in circles. The BGR 500 accident prevention regulations pertaining to Load handling attachments for hoists are applicable for operation and maintenance. Repairs may only be carried out by specialist workshops that use original TIGRIP spare parts. The inspections have to be initiated by the operating company. Using the load lifting attachment Slide the load lifting attachment with the spindle wide open with its mouth up to the stop onto the load and tighten the thread spindle (Fig. 5) by hand. The clamp must not be applied in a skewed position with reference to the load to be lifted. With the beginning crane s pulling motion, the pad mounted on a pivot bearing causes jamming which results in a high clamping force. In order to remove the load lifting attachment from the load, travel the supporting means downwards until the load lifting attachment is unloaded or the shackle moves freely. It must be possible to freely open the thread spindle. Inspection / MAINTENANCE Inspections should be carried out by a competent person prior to initial operation and at least once a year. In the case of arduous operation conditions, the inspections should be done at shorter intervals. The inspections are mainly visual and functional and shall establish that the components of the unit are in perfect condition and do not show signs of damage, wear, corrosion or other irregularities. All safety devices are to be checked for completeness and effectiveness. In the case of visible damage, it is imperative that worn components be repaired or replaced. 4
