2 Cut the cable in a corrugation trough perpendicular to the cable axis. 1. Kabel in einem Wellental rechtwinklig absägen. 2. Strip the cable with the stripping tool 74_Z If another suitable stripping tool is used carry out corresponding instructions and follow with step 6, page 3. Kabel mit dem Werkzeug 74_Z abisolieren. Sofern ein anderes passendes Abisolierwerkzeug verwendet wird, ist die entsprechende Anleitung zu befolgen. Anschliessend fortfahren mit Schritt 6, Seite 3. The tool first strips the jacket away. The foam, centre and outer conductors are then removed with the tool. 3. Das Werkzeug entfernt zuerst den Kabelmantel. Danach wird der Schaum, der Innen- und der Aussenleiter entfernt. Strip until the yellow position indication ring ( ) becomes visible. 4. Mit dem Werkzeug solange abisolieren, bis der gelbe Ring ( ) sichtbar wird. When correctly stripped, the outer conductor will be cut on the crest of the corrugation. 5. 3 Remove burrs from the centre conductor. 6. Späne vom Innenleiter entfernen. Remove all swarf from dielectric and outer conductor. 7. Späne am Dielektrikum und Aussenleiter entfernen. Pull the cable entry over the cable while slightly rotating it. Keep slotted sleeve in place. 8. Mit einer leichten Drehbewegung die Kabeleinführung über das Kabel ziehen. Dabei geschlitzte Hülse in Position halten. Push the cable entry forward until it locates in the first corrugation trough. 9. Kabeleinführung nach vorne schieben bis sie im ersten Wellental einrastet. Separate outer conductor and dielectric. Keep outer conductor as round and smooth as possible. 10. Den Aussenleiter und das Dielektrikum trennen. Den Aussenleiter so rund und glatt wie möglich halten. 1-2 mm Document: -Rev.B Issued: 31 May 2007 Uncontrolled Copy Page 3/5

4 Push the corrugated seal manually into the cable centre conductor as shown. Dichtlippenteil wie gezeigt in den Innenleiter einsetzen und von Hand einpressen. 12. Use screwdriver (no. 2) to position the corrugated seal to give a gap of 10 ± 2 mm as shown. 13. Dichtlippenteil mit Schraubenzieher (Nr. 2) in die endgültige Position bringen. Dabei soll ein Zwischenraum von 10 ± 2 mm wie unten gezeigt eingehalten werden. Clean the cable contact area. 14. Den Kabelkontaktbereich reinigen. 15. Push the connector head straight aligned onto the cable entry. Push hard to engage the inner conductor with a clear snap to the stop. Den Verbinderkopf gerade ausgerichtet über die Kabeleinführung stecken. 5 16. Tighten the cable entry manually with the connector head pressed towards the cable. Tighten as much as possible but do not stop before the O-ring has entered the connector head. Important: Do not rotate the connector head! Die Kabeleinführung von Hand festziehen, während der Verbinderkopf kräftig gegen das Kabel gedrückt wird. Die Kabeleinführung so fest wie möglich anziehen, mindestens bis der O-Ring nicht mehr sichtbar ist. Wichtig: Nur die Kabeleinführung drehen! Tighten the cable entry applying a torque of 38 ±3 Nm (28 ±2.5 ft lb). Rotate cable entry only. 17. Verbinderkopf und Kabeleinführung mit einem Drehmoment von 38 ±3 Nm anziehen.
