Der Nachweis von 2- und 3-MCPD-Estern und Glycidylestern in Pflanzenölen, insbesondere in Palmölen, hat die gesamte Branche in Aufruhr gesetzt. Gemeinsam möchte man nun eine Lösung für die durchaus umfangreiche Problematik finden, um Bedenken aufseiten der Verbraucher möglichst früh zu begegnen. So werden derzeit bereits eine Reihe von Maßnahmen umgesetzt oder stehen kurz vor der Einführung, die vom Anbau der Pflanzen auf dem Feld bis zum Einsatz des raffinierten Endprodukts reichen. Sie alle zielen darauf ab, das Auftreten oder die Entstehung dieser Verbindungen weitestgehend zu reduzieren. Im Rahmen des Food Safety Forums sprechen Branchenvertreter über dieses Problem und zeigen auf, welche Maßnahmen bereits umgesetzt werden und was in Zukunft noch geschehen soll, um dieses zu lösen. Am Forum werden Vertreter aus unterschiedlichen Bereichen teilnehmen, darunter Behörden, industrielle Produzenten und verarbeitende Betriebe. 2 Das Forum richtet sich an sämtliche Interessenten aus den Reihen von Behörden, Großunternehmen für die Herstellung und Weiterverarbeitung von Speiseölen, Technologie- und Lösungsanbietern bis hin zu Institutionen für Lebensmittelsicherheit im Allgemeinen. Her role is to define and deploy a food and feed safety strategy in the company, to promote a safety culture.
