TENSION 31½ sts and 49 rows to 10 cm measured over patt using 3mm (US 2/3) needles. FINISHED SIZE Completed headband is approx 6 cm (2¼ in) wide. SPECIAL ABBREVIATIONS bead 1 = place a bead by taking yarn to RS of work and slipping bead up next to st just worked, slip next st purlwise from left needle to right needle and take yarn back to WS of work, leaving bead sitting in front of slipped st on RS; wyab = with yarn at back of work on WS rows, this is RS of work, and on RS rows this is WS of work. HEADBAND Thread 100 beads onto yarn B - see information page for details. Using 3mm (US 2/3) needles and yarn A cast on 39 sts. Row 1: Knit. Joining in yarn B when required, now work in patt as folls: Row 1 (WS): Using yarn A P1, sl 1 wyab, *P3, sl 1 wyab, rep from * to last st, P1. Row 2: Using yarn A K1, sl 1 wyab, *K3, sl 1 wyab, rep from * to last st, K1. Row 3: Using yarn B P3, *sl 1 wyab, P3, rep from * to end. Row 4: Using yarn B K3, *sl 1 wyab, K3, rep from * to end. These 4 rows form patt. Cont in patt until headband meas approx 11 cm, ending after patt row 2 and with WS facing for next row. Now work beaded centre section as folls: Row 1 (WS): Using yarn B P3, (sl 1 wyab, P3) twice, (bead 1, P3) 5 times, (sl 1 wyab, P3) twice. Row 2: Using yarn B K3, *sl 1 wyab, K3, rep from * to end. Row 3: Using yarn A P1, sl 1 wyab, *P3, sl 1 wyab, rep from * to last st, P1. Row 4: Using yarn A K1, sl 1 wyab, *K3, sl 1 wyab, rep from * to last st, K1. Rep these 4 rows 19 times more. All beads have now been used. Beg with patt row 3, now work in patt as given for section before beaded section until headband meas approx 11 cm from last beaded row, ending with RS facing for next row. Cast off. MAKING UP Press as described on the information page. Join row-end edges to form a long thin tube. Fold tube flat so that seam runs centrally along tube and carefully press. Insert one end of elastic centrally inside one end of tube and securely stitch in place. At opposite end of knitted section, insert elastic in same way, adjusting length so that headband
fits neatly. Once elastic is correct length, secure this end of elastic in same way as first end. Now fold the folded edges of the headband near the elastic in so that they meet along the seam line and sew these folded edges together for approx 1 cm. Flatten end of headband so that these new folds taper the ends and press again. Sonstiges 15 cm Gummiband, 15 mm breit. 1 x 50 g 1 x 50 g Perlen - 1 Päckchen mit 100 x 4 mm Perlen, Swarovski Aquamarine Selection (Artikelnr. 9825101-00003). Hinweis: Es werden alle Perlen benötigt. Maschenprobe 31 ½ M und 49 R = 10 x 10 cm, im Muster gestr mit Ndl Nr. 3. Fertige Größe Das fertige Stirnband ist ca. 6 cm hoch. Spezielle Abkürzungen 1P = Eine Perle platzieren, dabei liegt der Fd auf der vord Seite der Arbeit, eine Perle bis an die zuletzt gestr M schieben, die nächste M li abheben, die Perle liegt genau vor der abgehobenen M auf der vord Seite der Arbeit. 1 M abh =1 M abheben, dabei liegt der Fd immer hinter der M, also in den Hin- und Rückr immer hinter der M. Stirnband 100 Perlen auf das Knäuel in Fbe B fädeln, siehe allgemeine Informationen. 39 M mit Ndl Nr. 3 und Fbe A anschl. R 1: Rechts Im Muster str wie folgt: R 1 (Rückr): Mit Fbe A 1 M li, 1 M li abh, *3 M li, 1 M abh, ab * wdhl bis zur letzten M, 1 M li. R 2: Mit Fbe A 1 M re, 1 M abh, *3 M re, 1 M abh, ab * wdhl bis zur letzten M, 1 M re. R 3: Mit Fbe B 3 M li, *1 M abh, 3 M li, ab * wdhl bis zum Ende. R 4: Mit Fbe B 3 M re, *1 M abh, 3 M re, ab * wdhl bis zum Ende. Diese 4 R bilden das Muster und werden wdhl bis zu einer Länge von ca. 11 cm, enden mit R 2 = Hinr. Die letzten 4 R werden noch 19 x wdhl, alle Perlen wurden verwendet. Mit R 3 des Musters beg, weiter im Muster str bis zu einer Länge von 11 cm ab der letzten Perlenreihe, enden mit einer Rückr.
Alle M abk. FERTIGSTELLUNG Das Teil vorsichtig dämpfen, siehe Informationsseite. Die seitl Ränder des Streifens zusammennähen, sodass ein Schlauch entsteht. Den Schlauch so falten, dass die Naht in der rückw Mitte liegt, vorsichtig dämpfen. Das Gummi in den Schlauch ziehen, die Enden des Gummis an den offenen Enden des Stirnbandes festnähen, vorher die exakte Länge abmessen. Die Enden des Schlauches nach innen umlegen, die Öffnungen schließen. Beide fertige Enden ca. 1 cm übereinanderlegen und zusammennähen, noch einmal dämpfen. Alle Rechte vorbehalten.
