1 (Einladung in Deutsch auf Seite 4) 3 rd IEEE TMC Workshop on Telecommunication Project and Quality Management Fr, , 13:00-18:00 Detecon International GmbH, Oberkasseler Str. 2, Bonn, Germany To concerned industry representatives, Presently, the telecom market is in its most challenging time, with a fast rate of change in technology (IP backbone, IP terminals, IP-based services) products (VoIP, Triple-Play) and marketing (flatrates vs. charged new services) along with many unknowns in regulation of new services. Competition among content producers, customer equipment vendors and telecom operators for new revenue is fierce and will favor the fastest and most flexible players. In a fast changing market, surprises are unavoidable. Lack of stringent and innovative project management would have severe consequences for telecommunication companies and their customers. This workshop presents recent project examples and state of the art approaches to project and quality management geared towards telecommunication projects and services methods to handle successful, billable and profitable introduction of services in very short timeframes. We are looking forward to a lively discussion in the Q&A sessions following each presentation, and possibly during the dinner. The language of the presentations and slides will be English. 5 3 rd IEEE TMC Workshop on Telecommunication Project and Quality Management Fr, , 13:00-18:00 Detecon International GmbH, Oberkasseler Str. 2, Bonn, Germany An Projektmanager und Entscheider in der Telekommunikationsbranche, Aktuell existieren im Telecom-Markt erhebliche Projekt-Management-Herausforderungen, da sich sowohl die Technik (IP-Backbone, IP-Endgeräte, IP-basierte-Telekom-Dienste), Produkte (VoIP, Triple-play) und das Marketing (einerseits Flatrates, andererseits Value-Added Services mit hohen Preisen, hohen Qualitätsanforderungen und hoher Änderungsrate) schnell und grundlegend ändern. Verteilungskämpfe zwischen Inhalteanbietern, Geräteherstellern und Netzbetreibern erfordern schnelle Implementierung neuer Dienste. Ohne herausragendes und innovatives Projektmanagement werden die Überraschungen, die in einer Umbruchssituation unvermeidlich sind, ernste Folgen für Telekommunikationsunternehmen und ihre Kunden haben. In diesem Workshop werden an Praxisbeispielen aktuelle Ansätze für das Projekt- und Qualitätsmanagement in der Telekommunikationsindustrie vorgestellt; Methoden, die die erfolgreiche Implementierung und den zuverlässigen Betrieb der Dienste möglich machen, die in immer kürzeren Abständen eingeführt oder modifiziert werden.
