2 A Word of Welcome, Power Workshop Dear guests, The wave of internet and digitisation keeps moving against the shores of the window and facade branch. Internet portals, the automation of bulding elements, smart homes and many new apps clearly signal that fundamental changes with technology and buying behaviour are coming up. Also the products are undergoing major changes. Windows are replacing facades, doors turn into gates, external doors to internal doors, lift doors to entrance doors: The use of the products merge and offers many additional possibilities. That the waves do not overflow enterprises, the 45th Rosenheim Window and Facade Conference analyses the most important trends in 29 lectures as well as four workshops. A Word of Welcome Dr. Jens-Uwe Meyer (Innolytics GmbH), as our keynote speaker, will present in his lecture Digital Disruption how digital technologies can create something new without companies being lost in the market and becoming a victim of the digitisation. Another highlight is the detailed insight in the facade of the Elbphilharmonie, given by Michael Elstner (AGC Interpane), Stefan Goeddertz (Herzog & de Meuron) and Karl Lindenmaier (Josef Gartner). Already on Wednesday afternoon, the power workshops for window constructors are supplying insider tips for assembly of lift & slide elements, for the visual evaluation of glass, for the ift-mounting Tool and from the ift-expert practice.
