( ) Our Nation s educators and institutions of learning must be aware of and adjust to these new realities. In addition to the basic skills of reading, writing, and arithmetic, it is equally important that our students are given the tools required to take advantage of the information available to them. ( ) This month, we dedicate ourselves to increasing information literacy awareness so that all citizens understand its vital importance. 12 2. 3 Praxisbeispiele Wer kennt das nicht? Problem 1: Wenn ich schule, habe ich ganz genaue Vorstellungen, was wichtig ist und dann wird meine Veranstaltung doch überfrachtet, weil ich die Studierenden nur dieses eine Mal in der Bibliothek habe. Ich fände es sinnvoll, Informationskompetenz genau dann im Studienverlauf zu vermitteln, wenn die Studierenden es brauchen. Select an issue or topic that offers the opportunity to defend or reject a particular position. Lernort Bibliothek: Mellon Library/Faculty Fellowship for Undergraduate Research an der University of Berkeley Veränderungen: Bibliothekare haben an der Erstellung von Prüfungsaufgaben mit Forschungsanteil vor (!) dem Kurs mitgewirkt Muster-Prüfungsaufgaben für große Vorlesungen vorhanden, an denen sich Dozenten orientieren können Bibliothekare als Ansprechpartner für forschungsorientierte Prüfungsaufgaben etabliert Bibliothek ist besser mit anderen universitären Einrichtungen und Fakultäten vernetzt Studierende arbeiten in einer effizienteren und forschungsorientierteren Weise mit den Beständen der Bibliothek 25

Fazit Klare Kommunikationsinstrumente und gemeinsame Projekte mit der Fakultät helfen bei der Integration von Informationskompetenz ins Studium Was wir von den Academic Libraries in den USA lernen können intensive und maßgeschneiderte Kurse und Beratung anbieten uns als Berater für forschungsorientierte Prüfungsaufgaben etablieren. Projekte in Zusammenarbeit mit den Fakultäten entwickeln Dozierende konkret in ihrer Lehre beraten und unterstützen eine gemeinsame Sprache mit der Zielgruppe sprechen durch technisch hochwertige Ausstattung den Lernort betonen Vielen Dank für Ihre Aufmerksamkeit!
