1 EEX Customer Information Xetra Release 11.0 Simulation Distribution and Installation of Front-End Simulation Software Publication of Documentation Dear Sir or Madam, With this circular, we would like to provide you with all details about the distribution of the mandatory simulation software for Xetra front-end for the start of the Xetra Release 11.0 simulation on April 19, Furthermore, we inform you about the publication of further documents. 1) Distribution of simulation software: On Friday, April 9, 2010, after close of trading, you will receive the new frontend simulation software for the simulation environments. Transmission will take place via FTP to your report nodes. With Xetra Release 11.0 the GATE software for Xetra will remain unchanged, i.e. installation of GATE 3.5 and the corresponding GATE 3.5 Update Kit 2 is required. The target transfer directories on the Xetra simulation MISSes are: SUN Solaris Sparc: /opt/gate/transferdir/release52 SUN Solaris x86 /opt/gate/transferdir/release52 Windows Server 2003: <ftp-root directory>\release52 Each member will receive the SUN Solaris 10, SUN Solaris x86 and Microsoft Windows simulation kits. To ensure smooth distribution of the kits, please note: At least 215 MB disk space has to be available in the transfer directory on each of your simulation MISSes in both simulation environments (52/62). Make sure that the report MISSes of your Xetra simulation environments are reachable without interruption from Friday evening, April 9, 2010 until Tuesday morning, April 13, 2010 to enable the file transfer. 2 Please check that the necessary read and write permissions for files and folders are set correctly. Deutsche Börse AG will monitor the successful distribution of the kits. In case of any transfer problems, another transfer for the next day will be initiated. In addition, the software will be available for download on EEX website as of April 9, 2010 under the path: -> Downloads -> Software&Installation -> Xetra -> Simulation Installation: Installation of the software on MISSes and workstations is mandatory on order to access the Xetra Release 11.0 simulation from April 19, 2010 onwards. For details about installation, please refer to the Installation Notes (readme file) for the Xetra Release 11.0 simulation kit, which will be distributed together with the software kits. After an initial installation, participants have to start the program XetraPrepareExchange and, where necessary, finalize the software settings by means of the Configuration Utility Tool. For further details, please refer to the Xetra Release 11.0 Front End Installation Guide. 2) Documentation: The following documents were published today: Front End Access to Exchange Applications Front End Installation Guide Front End Operations Guide Network Access to Exchange Applications Xetra J-Trader User Manual, Preliminary Version The Front End Access to Exchange Applications gives a general overview of the architecture of MISS-based installations. The Front End Installation Guide provides a guideline for installing the Xetra Release 11.0 frontend software on the MISS and workstation. 3 The document Network Access to Exchange Applications contains an overview of available connection alternatives and supports members in selecting and configuring their routers. 4 EEX Xetra Release 11.0 Simulation Versand und Installation der Frontend-Simulations-Software Veröffentlichung von Dokumenten Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, mit diesem Rundschreiben erhalten Sie alle Details zum Versand der verpflichtenden Simulations- Software für die Xetra-Frontends zum Start der Xetra Release 11.0-Simulation am 19. April Außerdem stellen wir Ihnen weitere Dokumente zur Verfügung. 1) Versand der Simulations-Software: Am Freitag, 9. April 2010 erhalten Sie nach Handelsende die neue Frontend-Simulations-Software für die Simulationsumgebungen. Die Übertragung findet per FTP auf Ihre Report-Knoten statt. Mit Xetra Release 11.0 wird die GATE-Software unverändert bleiben, d. h. die Installation von GATE 3.5 und des entsprechenden GATE 3.5 Update Kit 2 ist erforderlich. Die Transferverzeichnisse auf den Xetra Simulations-MISSes lauten wie folgt: SUN Solaris Sparc: /opt/gate/transferdir/release52 SUN Solaris x86 /opt/gate/transferdir/release52 Windows Server 2003: <ftp-root directory>\release52 Jeder Teilnehmer erhält das Simulations-Kit für SUN Solaris 10, für SUN Solaris x86 und für Microsoft Windows. Um einen reibungslosen Versand der Kits zu gewährleisten, beachten Sie bitte folgende Punkte: Stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass auf jeder Simulations-MISS in beiden Simulationsumgebungem (52/62) mindestens 215 MB Speicherkapazität im Transferverzeichnis verfügbar ist. Damit die Datenübertragung stattfinden kann, bitten wir Sie sicherzustellen, dass die Report-MISSes Ihrer Xetra-Simulationsumgebungen von Freitagabend, 9. April 2010 bis Dienstagmorgen, 13. April 2010 ohne Unterbrechung erreichbar sind. Bitte achten Sie ebenfalls darauf, dass die erforderlichen Schreib- und Leseberechtigungen für Dateien und Ordner richtig gesetzt sind. 5 Die Deutsche Börse AG wird den erfolgreichen Versand der Kits überwachen und bei Übertragungsproblemen automatisch eine weitere Übertragung für den nächsten Tag veranlassen. Zusätzlich steht die Software ab dem 9. April 2010 zum Herunterladen auf der EEX Website unter dem folgenden Pfad zur Verfügung: -> Downloads -> Software&Installation -> Xetra -> Simulation Installation: Die Installation auf den MISSes und Workstations ist verpflichtend, um ab dem 19. April 2010 Zugang zur Xetra Release 11.0-Simulation zu erhalten. Details zur Installation können Sie den Installation Notes (readme file) für das Xetra Release 11.0 Simulations-Kits entnehmen, das zusammen mit den Software Kits versandt wird. Nach der initialen Installation müssen die Teilnehmer das Programm XetraPrepareExchange aufrufen und, wenn nötig, die Software-Einstellungen durch das Configuration Utility Tool abschließen. 6 Das Xetra J-Trader User Manual, Preliminary Version beschreibt die graphische Benutzer- Schnittstelle J-Trader für Xetra Release Der Benutzer wird mit unterstützenden Handelsfunktionen, neuen Merkmalen und speziellen Charakteristiken von Xetra Release 11.0 vertraut gemacht. Die finale Version wird am 14. Juni 2010 veröffentlicht.
