4 1. Innenverkleidung am Einbauort der Antenne entfernen. Dazu muss, je nach Fahrzeugtyp zuerst die hintere Seitenverkleidung gelöst werden. 2. Um die OEM Antenne auszubauen, zuerst die Schraubverbindungen der Anschlusskabel lösen. Überwurfmutter lösen und herausdrehen und die OEM Antenne entnehmen. 3. Karosserie außen um das Antennenloch vorsichtig reinigen. Auf der Innenseite den Massekontakt für die Shark Antenne prüfen, gegebenefalls herstellen. Um Korrosion vorzubeugen, das Metall mit Karosserieschutzfett benetzen. 4. Die richtige Dichtungsunterlage (B) wählen und über den Gewindebolzen der Shark Antenne stülpen. 5. Von außen den Antenne (A) mit, Dichtungsunterlage (B) und den Antennenkabel durch das Antennenloch führen. 6. Innen die Zahnscheibe mit Sechskantmutter (C) über das Antennenkabel (D) ziehen und von Hand leicht anziehen. 7. Antenne auf der Karosserie ausrichten, dabei den richtigen Sitz der Dichtungsunterlage achten. 8. Sechskantmutter mit 6.5 Nm anziehen. 9. Antennenstecker mit vorhandenen Antennenkabel zusammenstecken. Zu beachten beim Anschluss des Radios - siehe Kapitel Anschlussvarianten. 10. Nach Anschluss, den Empfang mit eingebautem Radio überprüfen. 11. Verkleidungen wieder einsetzen

11 Fragen und Antworten (FAQ) Frage schlechter Radio-Empfang Antwort Überprüfen, ob das verlegte Antennenkabel nicht gequetscht oder geknickt ist Schraub- und Steckverbindungen von Antenne und Kabel prüfen Gibt es eine Ersatzantenne (Ersatzstrahler)? Nein! Bei einem Defekt muss die komplette Antenne getauscht werden Darf ich das Antennenkabel verlängern? Es sollte jedoch nur ein Verlängerungskabel eingefügt werden, um Übergangsverluste gering zu halten. Habe extrem schwankenden Empfang während der Fahrt Alle Steck- und Schraubverbindungen überprüfen Empfang kann je nach topografi schen Bedingungen schwanken. (Abschattungen / Refl ektionen)

16 1. Remove interior trim at the antenna installation point. To do so, fi rst the rear side panel must be detached, depending on the type of vehicle. 2. In order to expand the OEM antenna, fi rst loosen the screw connections of the connection cable. Loosen and unscrew the union nut and remove the OEM antenna. 3. Carefully clean the exterior body around the antenna hole. Ensure there is a ground contact for the Shark Antenna on the interior and if not, establish one. Place some protective grease on the metal to protect against corrosion. 4. Select the correct seal support (B) and put it over the thread bolt of the Shark Antenna. 5. From the exterior, guide the antenna (A) with seal support (B) and the antenna cable through the antenna hole. 6. On the inside, pull the tooth lock washer with hexagon nut (C) over the antenna cable (D) and tighten gently by hand. 7. Align the antenna on the body, paying attention that the seal support is sitting properly. 8. Tighten hexagon nut to 6.5 Nm. 9. Connect antenna connector with existing antenna cable. To keep in mind when connecting the radio see Chapter: Connection Variations. 10. After connection, check the reception with the integrated radio. 11. Replace the paneling again

23 FAQs Question poor radio reception Is there a spare antenna (spare body)? May I extend the antenna cable? I have fl uctuating reception while driving. Answer Verify that the installed antenna cable is not kinked or bent. Verify screw and plug connections of the Check antenna and cable. No! In the event of a defect, the complete antenna must be replaced. However, only one extension cord should be used in order to keep contact losses at a minimum. Check all plug and screw connections. The reception could fl uctuate depending on topographical conditions. (shadowing / refl ections)

KG guarantees within the statutory period of 2 years from purchase date that this product is free of material and processing defects if this product is installed and used under normal conditions.
