2 1 Beschreibung Die Module sind für den Betrieb in den Kopfstationen STC 100 / STC 20 vorgesehen. Eine anderweitige Verwendung ist ausgeschlossen. Die Module HDM 160 AV / HDM 260 AV konvertieren einen von einem Satelliten kommenden MPEG-Datenstrom in analoge AV-Signale. Dieser Datenstrom ist QPSK-moduliert und entspricht dem DVB-Standard. Aus dem MPEG-Datenstrom werden ein bzw. zwei Programme entnommen, decodiert und als AV-Signal aufbereitet. Diese AV-Signale gelangen über eine Sub- D-Steckverbindung zu einem Modulator. Dort werden sie in ein bzw. zwei analoge Fernsehkanäle umgesetzt. 1 Description The modules are designed for use in the Head-End Stations STC 100 / STC 20. Any other use is prohibited. The HDM 160 AV or HDM 260 AV modules convert an MPEG data flow from a satellite into analogue AV signals. This data flow is QPSK-modulated and meets the DVB standard. One or two stations are extracted from the MPEG data flow, decoded and provided as an AV signal. These AV signals are sent through a Sub-D plug connector to a modulator where they are converted into one or two analogue signals. 2 Inbetriebnahme / Montage 2.1 Allgemeine Hinweise Um digitale Signale in einen bzw. zwei analoge Fernsehkanäle umzusetzen, sind jeweils zwei Module erforderlich: HDM 160 AV oder HDM 260 AV (Konverter QPSK in AV) HMM 100, HMS 100 bzw. HMM 200, HMS 200 bzw. Modul mit leichtem Druck soweit in die Kopfstation schieben, dass die Vorderkante des Moduls bündig zum Mittelsteg B positioniert ist und der Kontakt zur Platine an der Rückwand hergestellt ist (Fig. 4). Modulspezifische Blende C mit der Kopfstation verschrauben D. Konverter und Modulatoren mit beigelegten Sub-D-Kabeln verbinden (Fig. 5). Gegebenenfalls offene Durchbrüche in der Blende mit den, der Kopfstation beigefügten Einsätzen abdecken. 2.5 Montage in STC 20 Die Montage der Module in der Kopfstation STC 20 ist in der Montageanleitung STC 20 beschrieben. Insert the module in the grooves A on a free slot (Fig. 4). Gently push the module into the Head- End Station until the front of the module is flush with the centre strut B and the back makes contact with the P.C.B. (Fig. 4). Screw the module s panel C to the Head-End Station D. Connect the converters and modulators with the Sub-D cables supplied (Fig. 5). If necessary cover any open breakthroughs in the panels with cover caps delivered with the Head-End Station. 2.5 Assembly in STC 20 Assembly of the modules in the STC 20 Head-End Station is described in the Assembly Instruction STC 20. Fig. 5 3 Programmieren 3.1 Allgemeines Beachten Sie vor dem Programmieren dieser Module das Kapitel Programmieren in der Montageanleitung der verwendeten Kopfstation. 3 Programming 3.1 General information Before you start programming, read section Programming in the Assembly Instruction for the Head- End Station used

5 3.2 Vorbereitungen TV-Gerät oder Antennenmessgerät mit Bildschirm am HF-Ausgang (STC 100: -20 db) der Kopfstation anschließen. Modulator (z.b. HMM 100, HMM 200 etc.) programmieren und Ausgangskanal auf das Sichtgerät abstimmen. Gegebenenfalls internen Testbildgenerator verwenden. Hinweise: - Softwareversion der STC 100 muss min. 2.3 sein. - Ein Teil der Einstellungen wird über ein Bildschirm-Menü angezeigt. - Während des Programmierens ist die Anzeige der STC 100 / STC 20 und die Bildschirmanzeige zu beachten. - Nach einem Netzausfall bleiben alle Daten erhalten. - STC 100: Tauscht man nach dem Programmieren oder der Datenübertragung mit dem Kopiermodul ein HDM 160 AV bzw. HDM 260 AV z.b. von Steckplatz 2 auf Steckplatz 4, müssen die Parameter mit M bestätigt werden. Dies ist auch dann erforderlich, wenn der Steckplatz 4 vorher schon mit einem anderen HDM 160 AV bzw. HDM 260 AV bestückt war. - Die Parametereinstellungen für die Kanäle A und B werden über den AV- Ausgang A ausgegeben und auf dem Bildschirm angezeigt. - Die Software-Version des Moduls ist am Ende der Programmierung in der Übersicht am Bildschirm ersichtlich. - Zur Programmierung der Eingangsfrequenz wird nicht die Sendefrequenz der Satelliten, sondern die Differenz aus dieser und der Oszillatorfrequenz des LNCs verwendet: fosz = MHz (Oberband) fosz = 9750 MHz (Unterband) 3.2 Preparations Connect the TV set or antenna tester with screen to the RF output (STC 100: -20 db) of the Head-End Station. Program the modulator (e.g. HMM 100, HMM 200 etc.) and tune the output channel to the visual monitor. Use the internal test picture generator if necessary. Notes: - The software version of the STC 100 must be 2.3 or higher. - Some of the settings are shown on a screen menu. - While you are programming, watch the display of the STC 100 / STC 20 and the screen display on the visual monitor. - If the power fails, no data is lost. - STC 100: If you swap an HDM 160 AV or HDM 260 AV after programming or transferring data using the Copy Module, for example from slot 2 to slot 4, you must press M to confirm the parameters. This is also necessary if slot 4 had already been occupied by another HDM 160 AV or HDM 260 AV. - The parameter settings for channels A and B are transferred via the AV output A and displayed on the screen. - The software version of the module is displayed on the screen when you finish programming. - Programming the input frequency of the SAT receiver modules do not use the transmitter frequency of the satellites but the difference of transmitting frequency and LNC s oscillator frequency: fosc = MHz (high band) fosc = 9750 MHz (low band) - 5 -
