2 Info Point Current information 1 Novelties/extensions door 1.1 Door: Burglar resistance, resistance classes WK 2 and WK 3 Single and double leaf doors of door series 77 L and 65 M can now also be designed as a burglar-resistant version. The test certificates and expert endorsement regarding resistance classes WK 2 and WK 3 are available. Catalogue documents and installation drawings are attached in the annex as PDF files. 6 Info Point Current information 1.2 Threshold for subsequent installation for 77 L Doors The range of delivery for the 77 L Door now also includes components for a threshold solution for subsequent installation. Three different shaped fixing and gasket pieces enable the preliminary assembly of the threshold holder for single- and double-leaf doors opening in and out to the frame. After that, the threshold itself is positioned at the building structure and screwed by means of black countersunk self-tapping screws. The gasket wedge is safely inserted into the threshold holder s front groove guide. Thus the sealing system is identical to the standard solution. The provided fixing sets can be used both for threshold B and for P For this purpose, the lower part is bent down or cut off if the flatter threshold P is used at the threshold holder. 8 Info Point Current information As a supplement to the catalogue documents Door 12/2008, further barrel hinges have been added for the individual applications. Please refer to the table to find the respective suitable barrel hinges depending on the opening direction and the profile combination with or without insert profile. A couple of weeks ago we started the gradual implementation of the following modifications in order to optimize our barrel hinges: - Slide-in pieces made of stainless steel are converted to steel with a zinc nickel coating and two shock-absorbing supports - Screws are converted to Torx insert and Gleitmo coating - The plastic spacer plates for hinges opening out of 77 L are thickened in the profile groove area in the leaf and frame. Conversion will be carried out in February of Until then, smaller spacer plates made of stainless steel are included in the packages which are to be positioned under the plastic spacer plates in the profile groove. The catalogue documents and installation drawings are currently being updated and supplemented. The respective bottom rail profile is screwed under the leaf and laterally covered with shaped cover pieces of the Z combination. 13 Info Point Current information 1.6 double-leaf doors with anti-panic function, restraint-free Minimum leaf widths must be observed for double-leaf doors opening out with escape/antipanic function in order to ensure their functionality and to prevent any restraint of the leaves. The table shows the mandatory minimum leaf widths depending on the respective application and additional measures such as hinge adjustment, door co-ordinator or push bar. Leaf profiles for improved turning behaviour are currently being prepared. Furthermore, a new antipanic push bar with a narrow lock case and identical backset will be included in our range of products. In order to avoid disassembly of the profiles after sawing when the corners are pegged we have adjusted the corner brackets and added a new corner bracket. 16 Info Point Current information 2.3 Optimization of T-brackets As already announced in Info Point 35, the T-brackets for existing article numbers are being modified. The prevalent cutting lengths will be converted to the new shape by late March of 2011, less popular articles will follow one by one. The outer T-brackets are clamped by means of a knurl inside the T-bracket and a punch hole in the outer gasket housing. All screws for the inner T-brackets will have a head to enable accurate screwing. Please observe the updated processing information attached in the annex. The old and new T-brackets can be installed in parallel. Simply observe that the new outer T-bracket is screwed via a hole inside the inner T-bracket. The old version does not have such a hole so that in this case, the outer T-bracket must be screwed first. 17 Info Point Current information 3 Extensions of the façade program 3.1 Trigon 50 s suitability for passive houses certified ift Rosenheim determined that the façade design Trigon 50 is suitable for passive houses. With its U CW value of 0.68 W/m²K, the façade observes the required threshold of 0.70 W/m²K. In combination with pre-defined installation situations for which object-related proof must be given in case of deviations, the U CW value including thermal bridges for installation of 0.78 W/m²K stays well below the threshold of 0.85 W/m²K. Suitability for passive houses applies from a filling thickness of 40 mm and requires triple glazing with thermally improved spacers (Thermix TX.N or better).
