1 Allgemeines (Windows) Anbei erhalten Sie ein Liefermedium mit der Software von PLOT 6.2 Im folgenden finden Sie beschrieben, wie die Software zu installieren ist. Weitergehende Informationen für die Inbetriebnahme von PLOT entnehmen Sie bitte der Inbetriebnahmeanleitung sowie sonstigen Begleitdokumenten, die als Softbook (mit dem Suffix.pdf ) auf dem Liefermedium enthalten sind. Diese Begleitdokumente können bereits vor der Installation direkt von der CD-ROM angesprochen werden im Verzeichnis: <cd-laufwerk>:\docu\plot\doc Nach der Installation eines PLOT-Paketes finden Sie die Dokumente in folgendem Unterverzeichnis: <Inst_Pfad>\PLOT\DOC 2 Installationsanleitung PLOT (Windows)
2 Vorbereitungen einer Installation 2.1 Installation von einem lokalem CD-Laufwerk 1. Anmelden als Administrator 2. Einlegen der CD-ROM (evtl. im Caddy) in das CD-Laufwerk 3. Wechseln Sie im Explorer auf das CD-Laufwerk <cd-laufwerk>:\ 4. Start der Installation: Doppelklick auf setup.exe oder wählen Sie aus dem Menü Start, Ausführen <cd-laufwerk>:\setup 2.2 Installation von einem entfernten CD-Laufwerk Achtung: Die Rechner müssen sich über ein Netzwerk erreichen können! Vorbereitungen am remote Rechner 1. Einloggen als Administrator 2. Freigeben des CD-ROM-Laufwerkes für andere User: Legen Sie die CD in das CD-Laufwerk ein. Starten Sie den Explorer, klicken Sie einmal auf Ihr CD-Laufwerk. Im Menü Eigenschaften (rechte Maustaste) im Register Freigabe markieren Sie Freigegeben als (evtl. Verbinden des CD-Laufwerks vom remote Rechner: Starten Sie den Explorer, klicken Sie auf Extras, Netzlaufwerk verbinden.wählen Sie das zu verbindende Laufwerk aus und bestätigen Sie mit OK. 3. Start der Installation: Doppelklick auf setup.exe oder wählen Sie aus dem Menü Start, Ausführen <cd-laufwerk>:\setup 3 Durchführung der Installation Nach dem Start von setup.exe können Sie auswählen ob Sie die deutsche oder englische Version von PLOT installieren möchten. Im folgenden werden die wichtigsten Auswahlpunkte der Installationssoftware erläutert: Auswahl Setup-Typ: 1. Server (Alle Komponenten) Es sind alle Server-Komponenten ausgewählt, d.h. wenn Sie einzelne Komponenten nicht installiert haben wollen, müssen Sie diese deaktivieren! 4 Installationsanleitung PLOT (Windows)
2. Server (Ausgewählte Komponenten) Es sind keine Server-Komponenten ausgewählt, d.h. wenn Sie einzelne Komponenten installiert haben wollen, müssen Sie diese aktivieren! 3. Client (PLOT-Client) Installation eines PLOT-Client-Rechners. Auswahl Zielpfad: Es wird der Standard-Installations-Pfad angezeigt. Der Installations- Pfad kann beliebig gewählt werden. Auswahl Programmordner: Hier wird eingestellt, wie die Programmgruppe genannt werden soll, in der die einzelnen Programme aufgelistet werden. Standardwert ist PLOT. Mit der Abfrage Installation jetzt starten ja/nein, können Sie die Installlation starten oder nochmals bearbeiten. Informationen eingeben: Für die Kommunikation der PLOT-Komponenten im Netzwerk wird eine Portnummer (services) verwendet. Wir empfehlen die Portnummer 8999. Installationsanleitung PLOT (Windows) 5
Für die Kommunikation der PLOT-WWW-Komponenten im Netzwerk wird eine Portnummer (services) verwendet. Wir empfehlen die Portnummer 9001. Hinweise zur Konfiguration der PLOT-Software können Sie der Inbetriebnahmeanleitung entnehmen. Der Anschluß von Geräten ist dort im Kapitel 10 beschrieben. Zur Nutzung der angeschlossenen Geräte sollte der lpdsvc Dienst gestartet sein (net start lpdsvc). 4 Installation von LM und ACROBAT Reader Die Produkte License Manager und ACROBAT Reader verfügen über eigene Installationsprozeduren, die zusätzlich noch angestartet werden müssen: für License Manager: <Inst-Pfad>\LM_V9.2\lm.exe für ACROBAT Reader: <Inst-Pfad>\ACROBAT_V6.0\ar60deu.exe (Deutsch) <Inst-Pfad>\ACROBAT_V6.0\ar60eng.exe (Englisch) 6 Installationsanleitung PLOT (Windows)
Anschliessend kann das Arbeitsverzeichnis <InstPfad>\LM_V9.2 bzw. <Inst-Pfad>\ACROBAT_V6.0 gelöscht werden. 5 Auskunft über installierte PLOT-Komponenten Zur Information, welche PLOT-Komponenten installiert wurden, steht der Menüpunkt Software unter Start, Einstellungen, Systemsteuerung zur Verfügung. 6 Durchführung der Deinstallation Mit dem Menüpunkt Software ( Start, Einstellungen, Systemsteuerung ) werden alle PLOT-Komponenten, die mit Hilfe von Install-Shield installiert worden sind, angezeigt. Mit dem selben Menüpunkt können die installierten PLOT- Komponenten auch wieder deinstalliert werden. Achtung: Installationsanleitung PLOT (Windows) 7

1 Miscellaneous (Windows) Enclosed you will find a release medium containing the software for PLOT 6.2 The following sections describe how to install the software. More detailed information on the installation of PLOT can be found in the Installation Guide as well as other accompanying documentation. This is available on the delivery medium in the form of a softbook (with the suffix.pdf ). 2 Preparing for an installation 2.1 Installation from a local CD drive 1. Log in as administrator 2. Insert the CD-ROM (if necessary in a caddy) in the CD drive 3. Log in as administrator 2. Release the CD-ROM drive for other users: Insert the CD in the CD drive. Start Explorer, click once on your CD drive. Select the drive to be connected and confirm with OK. 3. Change to the CD drive (in this example <cd-drive>:\) in Explorer 4. Start the installation: Double-click on setup.exe or select <cddrive>:\setup under Run in the Start menu 3 Performing the installation After the start of setup.exe, you can choose, if you want to install the german or the english version of PLOT: This section explains the most important functions of the installation software: Choose Setup Type: 1. Server (All Components) All server components are selected, i.e. if you do not want to install individual components, you must deactivate them! 2. No server components are selected, i.e. if you want to install individual components, you must activate them! 3. Client (PLOT-Client) Installation of a PLOT-Client workstation. Choose Destination Location: The default installation path is displayed, however you can select any installation path. Choose Program Folder: The name of the program group in which the individual programs are to be listed is set here. The default is PLOT. Enter Information: Due to the communication of the PLOT components in the network a so called portnumber (services) is necessary. We recommend the portnumber 8999. For further information concerning the configuration of PLOT, refer to the installation guide. The connection of peripheral devices is described in chapter 10. In order to use pheriperal devices the service lpdsvc should be started (net start lpdsvc). 4 Installing LM and ACROBAT Reader The License Manager and ACROBAT Reader products have their own installation procedures that must also be started: for License Manager: <inst_path>\lm_v9.2\lm.exe for ACROBAT Reader: <inst_path>\acrobat_v6.0\ar60deu.exe (German) <inst_path>\acrobat_v6.0\ar60eng.exe (English) The working directory <inst_path>\lm_v9.2 or <inst_path>\acrobat_v6.0 can then be removed. 14 Installation Guide PLOT (Windows)
5 Information on installed PLOT components For information which PLOT components are installed, you can use the menu Add/Remove Programs ( Start, Settings, Control Panel ). 6 Performing the deinstallation The menu Add/Remove Programs ( Start, Settings, Control Panel ) can be used to display the PLOT components that are installed using Install-Shield. The installed PLOT components can be deinstalled again using the same menu item. Important: During deinstallation, the full installation path of the relevant product is always deleted. Important: Since all PLOT-products use the same installation path, the deinstallation of one PLOT-product removes all PLOT-products, which are installed in the same installation path.
