1 1.) YOUR REGISTRATION NUMBER (MATRIKELNUMMER) & HOW TO PAY THE STUDENT UNION FEE (ÖH-BEITRAG) Students receive an with all the information on how to pay the student union fee. Your registration number (Matrikelnummer) of TU Graz: 16XXXXX As part of the registration process you have to pay the student union fee (compulsory membership fee for the Austrian National Union of Students) to become a student at Graz University of Technology. Amount : Euro 19,20 BIC : BAWA AT WW IBAN : AT Name / address of account holder : Technische Universität Graz / Rechbauerstraße 12, 8010 Graz, Austria Name / address of bank : BAWAG P.S.K. / Quellenstraße 51-55, 1100 Wien, Austria Please put in your family name / first name / registration number (Matrikelnummer) of TU Graz so that the transfer can be booked to your account. Please note that you have to pay for any charges that may arise. As soon as Graz University of Technology has received your payment, you will be registered (enrolled) as a student. Graz University of Technology provides a personal log-in into the information management system TUGRAZonline for you. You need a PIN Code for your first log-in in order to choose your own user name and password. Betrag : Euro 19,20 BIC / Swift Code : BAWA AT WW IBAN : AT Name / Anschrift des Kontoinhabers: Technische Universität Graz / Rechbauerstraße 12, 8010 Graz, Austria Name/Anschrift der Bank : BAWAG P.S.K. / Quellenstraße 51-55, 1100 Wien, Austria Tragen Sie bitte Familienname / Vorname / Matrikelnummer der TU Graz ein, damit die Überweisung richtig zugeordnet werden kann. Bei Überweisung ist anzugeben, dass Sie alle Gebühren übernehmen! Mit Einlangen des vorgeschriebenen Betrages auf dem Universitätskonto werden Sie zum Studium, zu dem Sie an dieser Universität zugelassen sind, gemeldet (inskribiert). Die TU Graz stellt allen ihren Angehörigen einen persönlichen Zugang zum Informationsmanagementsystem TUGRAZonline über Benutzername/Kennwort zur Verfügung. Sie benötigen dazu für die erstmalige Wahl von Benutzername/Kennwort einen PIN-Code. Sobald Ihre Meldung (Inskription) an der TU Graz aufgrund Ihrer Einzahlung erfolgt ist, erhalten Sie umgehend ein weiteres mit Ihrem PIN-Code. Follow the instructions in the . After you ve completed the money transfer you will be registered as a student and you will receive an with your PIN Code. (You need your PIN Code to log into TUGRAZonline system for the first time). Other ways to pay the student union fee: In case you do not have a bank account in Austria or access to online banking & decide to pay in cash You have to pick up a pre-printed payment slip at the Registration Office (Studienservice und Prüfungsangelegenheiten), Rechbauerstraße 12, 1st floor. Go to the next bank or post office and pay 2

3 the student union fee of EUR 19,20,-- in cash with your payment slip. It takes three to four days until Graz University of Technology will receive your payment. Please note that banks will charge a small fee (up to EUR 5,--) for the money transfer. 2.) How to log into TUGRAZonline system FOR THE FIRST TIME (WITH YOUR PIN CODE) You will receive following Dear Mr./Ms. XXXX, The TU Graz provides a personal access to its information management system TUGRAZonline to all persons affiliated to TU Graz (by entering username/password). For your first access you will need a so called PIN code. The following PIN code has been generated for you: XXXXXX Issuing organisation: Studienservice und Prüfungsangelegenheiten; Issuing person: ; Registration number: ; Internal reference number: 177B303EE8AF96D2D8BE5FDF2CCE4535 To select a username/password proceed as follows: - Go to the web address - click on the key icon (top right corner) - click on the link to enter the PIN code for Studierende - enter the PIN code and select a username and the passwords for TUGRAZonline and network access (like WLAN, VPN or eduroam). Please note that the PIN code is only valid 90 days from the day of issue, meaning until DD/MM/YYYY included. You have a maximum of 5 attempts to select a username/password using this PIN code. Should you encounter any problems, please send an to it-support@tugraz.at. Instructions: 1.) Go to and click on the key in the upper right corner. You can change between English and German by clicking on the de/en Button. 3

5 The next steps: Choose a Username; you can choose it freely. Please be aware that you cannot change the username once you entered it into the system. Choose a Password with min 10, max 40 characters, at least 3 letters, at least 1 number, at least 1 special character (without numbers and letters) from!#$%&()*+,-./:;<=>?@[\]^_{ }~; make sure that you remember if you used capital letters or not. Retype your Password under Password verification. Choose your Address; the has to be a combination of your first and last name, for example if your name is James (first name) Bond (last name), your can be james.bond@student.tugraz.at, j.bond@student.tugraz.at etc. Go to Save. 5
