1. Anforderungen an IT Support Systeme Trends in IT organizations within globally acting companies Comments of IT market analysts: Continued increase in centralization: Nine out of 10 of IT organizations that are reorganizing are going through some form of centralization to a single CIO. Even those areas that have resisted this trend, particularly financial services and government, are now following it. In many cases the term centralization is not used and shared services or centers of exellence is used instead. The end result, however, is the same accountability and reporting is consolidated to a smaller number of people, sometimes simply to the CIO. GIGA information Group: `IT Trends 2002: Organizational Design `Through 2005, enterprises that integrate business and IT planning under common strategies will outperform those that do not (0.7 probability) Gartner: Driving IT Planning with Business Strategy Compare: Dr. Clemens Keil, CIO Knorr-Bremse AG 5
1. Anforderungen an IT Support Systeme Die Budget-Explosion muss nicht so sein: Trotz Budget Kürzungen sind mit einer guten IT Organisation Effizienzsteigerungen der IT zum Nutzen der Business Units möglich. Aktuelle industrielle Beispiele belegen dies. Quelle: Holtschke, B.; Pfeifer, Andreas: Unternehmenserfolg durch IT. URL: blogs.msdn.com/diplo71/attachment/656887.ashx [Stand: 31.3.2008] 7
1. Anforderungen an IT Support Systeme p Eine transparente weltweite IT Organisation soll der schnellen Entwicklungsdynamik des Unternehmens folgen. p Die IT Oganisation muss den Business Units die lokale Freiheiten sichern, um marktnahe Innovationsprozesse zu fördern. p Die IT ist der strategische Hebel für den Ausbau von Weltmarktpositionen für mittelständisch orientierte Unternehmen. Merger & Aquisition Prozesse mittels IT sind dabei ein zentraler Effizienzbeitrag der IT für global agierende mittelsständisch organisierte Unternehmen. 8
