DOCUMENT A Unternehmen: Persönlichkeitsentwicklung Extrem andere Welt Manager, die ihre Grenzen erweitern - im Aids-Hospiz und bei der Drogenhilfe Gott tat es - warum sollen es nicht auch Manager tun? Jesus, erzählt die Bibel, wusch den Jüngern die Füße. Nun wechseln Wirtschaftsbosse alten Leuten die Windeln, verbinden Drogenabhängigen die Wunden und bringen Strafgefangenen das Frühstück. Die 2000 Jahre alte Idee - Was du dem geringsten meiner Brüder getan hast, das hast du mir getan - findet als Personalmaßnahme in Unternehmen immer mehr Anhänger und steht jetzt in Deutschland vor dem Durchbruch. Manager, die sich gewöhnlich in die Tiefgarage chauffieren und per Aufzug in die Chefetage beamen lassen, helfen eine Woche lang Not Leidenden bei täglichen Verrichtungen und stärken dadurch - so der Grundgedanke des Modells - ihre Sozialkompetenz. Charme hat das: Die eigenen Grenzen nicht beim Bergsteigen und Survivaltraining zu testen, sondern im Umgang mit den Kranken und Gescheiterten. Christiane Bucks erster Tag bei Ragazza. Die 41-Jährige - zierlich, dunkle Haare, braune Augen - hat eine geräumige Umhängetasche geschultert und geht mit Manuela Samland durch St. Georg. Samland leitet dort die Anlaufstelle für drogenabhängige Prostituierte. Brennerstraße, Bremer Reihe, Stralsunder Straße, Hansaplatz, Steindamm - Drogenstrich. Die Prostituierten hocken in Hauseingängen, nicht sexy herausgeputzt, sondern in dreckigen Jeans, Pullovern, Jacken. Fahle Haut, eingefallene Gesichter, müde Augen, Zahnlücken, Abszesse auf den Armen. Buck, unauffällig gekleidet, geht auf die Frauen zu und greift in die Tasche. Brauchst du Kondome? fragt sie, Möchtest du einen Schokoriegel oder heißen Kakao? Denn auch Thermoskanne und Becher hat sie dabei. Manchmal gibt es ein genuscheltes Dankeschön, oft keine Antwort. Nach einer Stunde endet die Runde, wo sie anfing: in der Brennerstraße 81, den Räumen von Ragazza. Hier geht es nicht um Dinge wie die Anerkennung der Prostitution als Beruf oder Beratung, sondern, so Manuela Samland, um pure Überlebenshilfe TURN OVER

Ihr eigentlicher Arbeitsplatz jenseits des Hauptbahnhofs - einen Kilometer Luftlinie entfernt - ist solange verwaist. Buck leitet den Bereich Personalentwicklung bei der Hamburgischen Landesbank und hat zwei Ziele: sich selbst der ungewöhnlichen Herausforderung zu stellen und dabei herauszufinden, ob Sozialarbeit auf Zeit ins Personalentwicklungsprogramm der Bank passt. Eine der Klientinnen, wie die Prostituierten bei Ragazza genannt werden, muss gleich im Krankenhaus ihr Baby stillen. Erst will sie noch schnell eine Crackpfeife rauchen. Buck ist schockiert, erklärt der jungen Frau, dass das dem Kind schade. Vergebens. Hinter dem Projekt das Seitenwechsel genannt wird steht die Schweizerische Gemeinnützige Gesellschaft (SGG). Bei der Großbank UBS in Zürich sind die einwöchigen Sozialeinsätze Standardprogramm für Manager: UBS schickt pro Jahr rund 100 Führungskräfte für je eine Woche in gemeinnützige Einrichtungen. Eifrig folgen jetzt deutsche Firmen dem schweizer Beispiel. In München organisiert das Sozialreferat den Managertransfer ins Sozialmilieu und nennt ihn Switch, in Hamburg die Patriotische Gesellschaft von Im Januar 2001 werden Manager von Deutscher Bank und Daimler Chrysler Aerospace im Aids-Hospiz in Hamburg Sterbenden beistehen. Im Frühjahr wollen Otto-Versand und Phoenix AG Seitenwechsel testen Mark zahlen die Unternehmen pro Mitarbeiter und Praktikumswoche an die Patriotische Gesellschaft, 1000 Mark davon für die jeweilige Sozialeinrichtung. Christiane Bucks zweiter Tag bei Ragazza. Sie hat schlecht geschlafen, mit ihrem Mann und dem vierjährigen Sohn gefrühstückt und ist vom idyllischen Kellinghusen nach Hamburg gefahren. Im Bahnhof stehen - wie immer - Süchtige in den Ecken. Buck erkennt eine Frau, mit der sie gestern gesprochen hat. Die ist mit Drogen voll gepumpt und nimmt Buck nicht wahr. Aber aus der sozialen Randgruppe werden nun Menschen, die Petra oder Natascha heißen. Die Einrichtung selber ist heute geschlossen. Das Ragazza-Team bespricht Probleme einzelner Klientinnen. Beschlossen wird, einer der Prostituierten den Zutritt zum Konsumraum zu verweigern, weil sie sich bewusst Überdosen spritzt und Mitarbeiterinnen angreift. In dem neunköpfigen Team - alle duzen sich - fühlt sich Buck wohl. Fürsorge für die Armen und für die eigene Belegschaft sind deutschen Unternehmen nicht fremd. Doch die Idee, gute Zwecke nicht durch Geld, sondern durch den Einsatz der Mitarbeiter zu fördern, kommt aus angelsächsischen Ländern. 80 Prozent der US-Firmen haben Volunteer-Programme/Caring-Days, ermittelte das Bostoner Center for Corporate Community Relations Ford-Mitarbeiter in Köln können - seit Mai Arbeitsstunden pro Jahr in Umweltschutz oder andere Initiativen investieren. Nike stellt in Berlin acht Mitarbeiter pro Woche je zweieinhalb Stunden für soziale Zwecke frei. Einer bringt jungen Aussiedlern Volleyball bei. Christiane Bucks dritter Tag bei Ragazza. Der Frühstückstisch wird gedeckt im so genannten Café, das bloß ein schlichter Raum ist. Käse, Marmelade, Geschirr, Servietten kommen auf den Tisch, dazu adventsmäßig ein paar Kerzen. Vier, fünf junge Frauen essen belegte Brötchen und trinken Kaffee. Manche der Prostituierten kommen nur, um sich mal aufzuwärmen, sitzen auf den Sofas im Aufenthaltsraum herum und sehen fern. Bevor sie wieder auf die Straße gehen, können sie Spritzen tauschen. Buck steht am Spritzencontainer. Drei blutige Kanülen fallen vor ihr auf den Aluminiumtisch. Die kommen in den Müll. Die gleiche Anzahl gibt sie vakuumverpackt wieder heraus. Hinter dem Container an der Wand hängt der Adventskalender mit den Namen der Prostituierten, die regelmäßig bei Ragazza auftauchen. An dem Dezembertag, dem ihr Name zugeordnet ist, bekommen sie Strümpfe und Unterwäsche geschenkt CONTINUED

5 GERMAN FOR BUSINESS AND CURRENT AFFAIRS (HIGHER) LANG 0GHB Page 4 Ausflüge in Krisenregionen der Gesellschaft sollen laut Seitenwechsel-Prospekt die Sozialkompetenz der Manager verbessern: Durch die ungewohnten Begegnungen gewinnen sie an Offenheit und persönlicher Stärke. Sensibles Wahrnehmen, Kommunikationsfähigkeit, Kreativität, Improvisationsgeschick, Konfliktfähigkeit und Flexibilität würden gestärkt. Ein Seitenwechsel baue Vorurteile ab, indem er Einsicht in andere Realitäten vermittelt: Davon profitieren die Teilnehmer wie auch die Unternehmen. UBS-Personalentwicklungschef Felix Zumbach zieht aus fünfjähriger Seitenwechsel-Praxis den Schluss, dass Manager dabei lernen, keine übertriebenen Leistungen von den Mitarbeitern zu erwarten, sondern optimale. Christiane Bucks vierter Tag bei Ragazza. Um sieben Uhr morgens wird die Nachtschicht abgelöst. Die Klientinnen im Übernachtungszimmer - viele der Frauen sind obdachlos - zu wecken, ist nicht einfach. Wegen des Drogencocktails aus Heroin, Crack und Tabletten, den viele konsumieren, schlafen sie oft erst mitten in der Nacht ein und wachen kaum auf. Buck bringt ihnen Kaffee ans Bett. Im Raum schlägt ihr schlechte Luft entgegen. Wer duschen und frühstücken will, muss sofort aufstehen. Wer darauf verzichtet, kann bis acht im Bett bleiben. Nachmittags wieder der Rundgang durchs Viertel mit der Ragazza-Tasche. In einem U-Bahnschacht sitzt weinend eine Prostituierte. Sie wurde in der Nacht vergewaltigt. Buck hört sich die Geschichte an - Trost durch Zuhören. Während des Gesprächs versteht Buck plötzlich, dass die Frau - jünger als sie selbst - Krebs hat. Es kostet sie zunehmend Energie, Distanz zu wahren. Das Angebot, die Frau zur Polizei zu begleiten, erübrigt sich: da war sie schon. Auch zum Ragazza-Haus geht sie nicht mit. Christiane Bucks fünfter und letzter Tag bei Ragazza. Nachtschicht. Am Abend werden Adventskalender mit Schokolade verteilt - die Frauen reißen sich darum. Buck begreift, daß Ragazza auch Familienersatz ist. Von den Elternhäusern haben sich die Frauen losgesagt - oder die von ihnen. Feste Partnerschaften sind selten. Untereinander herrscht Neid. An der Kleiderstange, wo sich jede drei Teile Gebrauchttextilien aussuchen darf, gibt es Streit um einen Pullover. Die Ragazza-Frauen greifen ein und schlichten. Am Morgen zieht Buck das Bettzeug ab, bereitet wieder das Frühstück vor, räumt danach auf. Um halb zehn ist Schluss. Buck geht durch St. Georg zum Hauptbahnhof und steigt in den Zug nach Kellinghusen: Es war schön, nach Hause zu kommen. Das war Anfang Dezember. Inzwischen ist Buck in die Bank zurückgekehrt, trägt wieder goldene Ohrringe und Kostüm. Mit Personalchef Karl Bonke hat sie beschlossen, Seitenwechsel 2001 als Angebot für Führungskräfte ins Personalentwicklungsprogramm aufzunehmen. Bonke glaubt, die Maßnahme helfe, zwischenmenschliche Blockaden in Abteilungen und Teams zu erkennen. Bucks Erfahrung: Beim Sozialpraktikum lerne man, handlungsfähig zu bleiben in Extremsituationen, konsequent zu sein trotz Mitgefühl, Probleme anzusprechen, flexibel zu reagieren. Als enorme Horizonterweiterung hat sie die Woche erlebt und Respekt bekommen vor den Sozialarbeiterinnen, die eine Arbeit fast ohne Erfolgserlebnisse machen. Eine Woche Sozialpraktikum sei zu kurz, die Schockerfahrung gehe ab wie Rauch durch den Schornstein und werde nicht intensiv genug reflektiert. Vorwiegend sei Seitenwechsel ein clever vermarktetes Designparameter fürs Schaufenster, also für die Medien. Nehmen Sie Stellung zu den skeptischen Äußerungen von Stiefel.
